What a delightful tiny product. Super flash power from such a little thing. Different strobe colors like white, white/green, white/red/ just red, just green etc. Lots of choices although not really important, the idea is to be seen. So I attached it to my DJI Mini Pro 3 because at dusk or night if I flew the drone away I couldn't see it in the dark, especially to land. Yes it's automated (the landing), but I really wanted to see where the drone is as I fly, rather than just hear it somewhere as I try and land etc. Before this strobe I would turn my iPhone light on, drop it on the ground pointing up and look straight down from the drone. There I am! Land here! Tiny little light, it worked in the dark. But I had no idea where the drone was. The strobe on this gem shows me exactly where I'm at in the air. Just great. However, if you don't want to draw any attention to yourself at night as you fly, don't use it. You will be seen. It's kind of pro/responsible, but also obvious. No effect on flight as far as I can tell, about drone performance. It's a wee thing, but I haven't tested it at full speed re: drag. Fast charge. Extra Velcro (not sure why). Probably because Velcro is so cheap. Makes it look like you are getting more stuff. If a product that's not too expense makes me feel better in some way, that's what I like.

I plan to do a fair bit of night flying so needed a decent strobe to enable me to do so. I looked at a few products of varying prices. After reading reviews I decided to go for this model which was mid range in strobe pricing. It arrived in a small plastic case measuring approx 7 x 5 x 2.5cm. It includes the strobe, USB-C charging cable, 2 x small elastic bands, 5 x velcro sticky pads and instructions. I'm currently using this on a DJI Mini 3 Pro but plan to use on a larger drone in the future. I'm not a fan of having sticky pads stuck to a drone so used a larger elastic band to attach the strobe to the drone which worked well wrapped around the body, it feels very secure with this. As others have stated the strobe is very bright. It has a lens moulded into the top of the case too which distributes the light well. There is a choice of several LED colours and combinations of colours. On my first night flight using the white strobe I was impressed that I could easily see where the drone was, even with the strobe being attached to the top. Its purpose is also to be seen by aircraft up to three miles away which I've no doubt it could be. Using the strobe on a sub 250g drone does take it over the weight limit for this category of drone so be aware of this (any type of strobe fitted will do anyway). The strobe is 10g in weight so takes my 249g drone to 259g when attached with the elastic band. When stored in its case it also easily fits in the standard bag of the Mini 3 Pro which is ideal. I've not used the strobe enough yet to rate the battery life. To sum up this is an excellent strobe, I'd highly recommend it!

First things first. Use the 3M picture hanging command strips. The ones that look like the hook only pieces of Velcro. They interlock and will give you a MUCH more secure hold. The included Velcro did not inspire confidence. The light comes in a small carrying case that holds all the accessories and instruction manual. Yes, they all fit if you do it right. I absolutely love that this light has a USB-C port for charging rather than an awful micro USB. No need to worry about losing that one special cable. My light arrived just under fully charged. The built in status led turns red for charging and green when fully charged. No guess work. For the DJI Air 3 I recommend placing the strobe over the DJI logo on top. This will place the strobe behind the GPS module instead of on top of it. YouTube has a great teardown video for the Air 3. I like my strobe lights on top rather than the bottom since manned aircraft are generally flying higher than your drone so it is easier for them to see. Plus I have an auxiliary light on the bottom already. The location I mounted mine ensured the strobe wasn’t in any of my camera shots and it was still very easy to see from the ground. This thing is bright! I have no doubts about the claimed 3.7 mile range of the white strobe. I have personally verified it is easily visible at 2 miles. I will never be using the green because, while the FAA does not mandate a color for drones, there are only two colors that mean anything to manned pilots when it comes to anti collision. White or Red. I’d rather use colors they would instantly recognize as anti collision lights. The white strobe on the fast setting is advertised to last longer than I have batteries to fly so there’s no need to use the red just for power saving. I highly recommend this amazing little light. When you consider the price, and performance, this is one of the best lights around. ***UPDATE 2/24/24*** I have flown my drone and verified this light is visible at the FAA required 3 statue miles. I mounted the light as shown in my pictures and it was visible from the rear and even brighter when the front of the aircraft is facing the operator.
