FITS Medium Hiker – Crew: Essential Hiking Socks

I purchased these at the recommendation of an outfitter store employee, who said that he never gets blisters in these socks. Frankly, I doubted him. It's a pair of socks! Shoes cause blisters, right? Socks are socks. Well, I wore these 4 nights in a row during an Appalachian Trail 2-week camping vacation. I hiked up and down (and up and down again and again!) for 4 days without an issue. I decided to change my socks to another brand just because... 4 days with the same pair of socks. By the time I hiked another 7 miles in the same mountainous terrain, I had huge blisters on both feet. One day! I thought his "no blisters" story was a bunch of hooey. I'm a believer now.Also, these socks lasted for 2 full weeks, every day, lots of rain and mud, more than 150 miles, and I can barely tell I wore them. I should also mention that, unlike most AT hikers, I did NOT wear a thin pair of liner socks. I just wore these alone. I swear by them now.

I've been wearing Darn Tough for about ten years but thought I'd try to save a few dollars. I've purchased several pairs of these for myself and as gifts. Both of my pairs wore through (toes, heel, sole) beginning within a few weeks, and at four months they look like what a pair of DT look like in five years. I'm not kidding. They look great though, and I must say they're really comfy while they last,and the fit is excellent. The problem seems to be the wool is too soft and woven in a way that allows it to just rub off the socks. One pair is red, and they shouldn't have left all that lint in my dryer filter.

Im a lady and I wear size 9 and my boyfriend wears size 10.5-11 and that size fits us both (at least in this style, the other styles he has of FITS are a little big on me). I love stealing his socks so much that I've been buying a pair every week until I have 8 so I can steal his socks more! He has other types of FITS socks and they all rock. They fit perfectly and DONT SLIDE DOWN. That's right ladies and gents, I have yet to adjust them when I wear them. Will forever be a FITS lady 💁

I first purchased these for a day hike back when I was just getting into outdoor activities. I was very hesitant as I have never paid so much for a pair of socks before. It was hard for me to understand how Merino wool socks and the desgin could actually help prevent blisters and such. I decided to try it out and have never turned back.I have used these on day hikes in the summer, on a 7 day trip in Big Bend Texas, Summited Mt.Baker in Washington state and several other adventures using these socks. I do not regret the purchase and now own 3 pairs. When going on prolonged hikes I will wear a very light liner just for added protection.If you can combine these socks with a right fit boot you will never have any problems.Proud owner since 2014!

These are my favorite backpacking socks, they are a little thicker than normal. They feel great on my feet. I'm going to order 7 pairs for work next. I like them that much, worth every penny.

I got my first pair in 8th grade ( I’m a freshman in college now) and I still ave 2 of the original 4 pairs that I bought. They lasted me on a 110 mile canoe trip, 24 high school football games and countless practices , 45 hockey games and countless practices, one wrestling season, one 5 day climbing trip, and countless regular days of wear. I have nothing but good things to say about these socks. They are warm yet cool, they are supportive, they prevent Achilles blisters, they are tough, and they look good. 20/10 just bought another 6 pairs. Would recommend to anyone.

Love this brand of socks and own multiple pairs. Use this style of their socks with my work boots. Amazing feel, feet stay cool and comfortable.

いつもは登山時にエクスペディションを履いており、今回は普段履きに購入。他メーカーで履き心地の良いものもあるが、爪先の縫い目が長時間履いていると痛くなるが、FITSは心配なしです。かかとの色の違う部分がローカットの靴だと少し見えてしまうのが少し残念。
