Great if you have a countertop ice maker. It's surprising how much ice those little b@$+@rds actually put out. Perfect size to keep in the freezer. They hold up pretty well. Obviously the bags are not indestructible, but they're a good value for the price and amount.

These work great for bagging ice from an ice machine. The bags are sturdy enough to handle a full load of ice without tearing, and the 10-pound size is convenient without becoming too heavy or awkward to handle. The drawstring closure is especially nice because it makes the bags quick to fill, close, and move without having to deal with twist ties or trying to knot the bag. I've also had no problems with them leaking or falling apart during normal use. The 50-count package is a good quantity to keep on hand. Simple product, but they're durable and do exactly what I need them to do.

Updated review: Not much time has passed since the original review but what has become clear is that these bags are more durable than they look. I added an extra star as these are stiff enough to stay open, a feature missing from the bag they replaced. These are by no means heavy-duty but seem to be of serviceable thickness. Only time (and an updated review) will tell.

Came in handy for the Fourth of July and I’m now bagging my own ice.

Easy to fill and holds a lot of ice. Doesn’t store well in freezer for long periods. Plastic becomes less durable and is prone to ripping very easily after being stored.

After years of buying inexpensive 10 pound bags of ice every time we went grocery shopping, I recently noticed these 10 pound bags from store quietly became 8 pounds, then 7 pounds, and now 5 pounds, and at same time they were getting more expensive and no longer cheap. Since we use lots of ice each week, we finally decided to buy a quality countertop ice maker, which we were very surprised to learn how easy and quick it was to make our own ice. However, we soon realized we had no suitable way to move the ice into the freezer or store in smaller containers. We tried quickseal bags, plastic grocery bags, and nothing seemed to match the type of bags that commercial ice type typically use. Then we discovered these bags which are perfect. Not only are they sized to hold the typical amount of ice we make at one time, but they are very sturdy construction and include a drawstring making it veey easy to seal and unseal. We especially like this feature. These are a must have for anyone with an ice maker, regardless if home size or larger commercial size.

These bags arrived and I started to use them. They would stick together when opening and the bottom of the bad and the drawstring portion would tear. Appears not to be a very strong bad for 10lbs of ice. Hoping just have bad batch of bags. Will try one more batch out.
