Salomon Soft Flask 500ml/17oz 42, Wide 42mm Cap with High-Flow Valve, Flexible Pocket Fit, Shrink-As-You-Drink Comfort

Really useful water bottle for running. I store this in my running belt and it’s perfect for that. Can’t really tell it’s there and it doesn’t leak even when stored horizontally on its side. It does impart a little bit of a taste into the water, however this has been lessening over time and I expect will go completely at some point. Easy to fill and clean, and absolutely no durability issues so far.

Old bottles were mouldy, getting just bottles way cheaper than a new pack. Product as described and work well.

I bought this Salomon soft flask for running and it has been a brilliant upgrade from my old bottle. It feels light in the hand, and once you start drinking and the bottle compresses, it becomes even easier to carry. The high flow valve is genuinely good too. You get a quick drink without having to squeeze hard or fiddle around with anything. The material feels sturdy and the opening is wide enough to fill quickly, even from a tap in a park. It slots neatly into a running vest pocket and doesn’t bounce around, which makes a difference on longer runs. No complaints at all. If you want a reliable, comfortable soft flask that just works, this is a great choice.

Ideal for running vest. Cleaned out and no bad taste that others have reported

Salomon quality. The wide cap is actually making a difference when refilling. The nicest part comes when you are in a race, and they have ice cubes available. Everyone else either don't add ice cubes, or waste time and energy to break them into pieces. I just open, drop, close, use. Amazing! The softness of the material is on the par with other makes - I can't see any major differences. Pair this with the over cap (to avoid dirt going on the tip) and you have a great product. What I've noticed is the flow. I think Salomon used a higher flow, as when I switch to other makes I have to put more effort into sipping (tried not to say sucking, but here it is :) ). The flow is better, but in the same time it means you want to ration your portions, as it will empty faster than other makes. I don't mind, the flow is perfect for me. No leakage found on any of them (I own 4 of them), and they last a very looong time. Recommended!

bought to fit into a Solomon vest. A slight plastic taste at first. but I filled them with lemon juice for a day and that seemed to fix it. I store them open so they can breathe. Water is so boring anyway. I put a weak squash solution in them. Water is boring and if your using then for distance you might as well but a little fuel with it. Using them takes practice. Its not enough to suck. The flow is quite minimal. You have to squeeze them, and you still don't get it all out. I'm still getting used to drinking while gasping for breath.

I'm skeptical of soft flasks as I've had poor wuality ones in the past that often crinkle and become unusable, or sau they are dishwashable but aren't. This exceeded my expectations and was extremely useful on long haul flights where I always struggle to stay hydrated

Perfect for running

Excellent durable product
