Lipper International 8302 Bamboo Wood 2-Tier 10" Kitchen Turntable

This is a great lazy susan. I needed something for my bathroom to put all my shaving stuff on and some other odds and ends. I don't have a ton of counter space, so any storage things I could find that might be suitable either crowded the sink, obscured the mirror, collided with the only outlet in the bathroom (conveniently placed in the most useless and inconvenient place on the wall), or stuck way out into the counter space. Then I stumbled on this and had an epiphany. It was just about exactly as wide as I wanted it to be, and would fit nicely into the corner space on my counter. Took a chance.I love it. It is nicely made and very attractive. It works perfectly for my purposes and the fact that it spins is super handy. Much better, imho, than a static shelf or plastic bins, etc. Makes things very accessible.The only potential downside for me is that I am using it in a bathroom and it really is not intended for high humidity environments. So time will tell how much of a factor that will be. At less than $15, if I have to replace it from time to time, that's just fine with me. I will probably pick up another one for my kitchen. It would be really nice to have on the counter for some odds and ends that I use a lot.

We are a family of 6 and needed something to save precious space in our medicine cabinet! This was perfect! I put it together in minutes and was very pleased at the sturdiness and quality build of this product. The bamboo was beautiful! A month later I was in WalMart and saw a similar product and yes, it was a little less expensive but holy moly at the quality difference!! It was inferior in every way to this turntable!Pros- Beautiful, smooth wood! We use it for medicine, but it would be great for makeup, spices, condiments, etc.- Lip edge on bottom and top table to protect contents from falling off.- Assembles easily.- Turns smoothly.- Holds all of our medicine bottles and vials which saves us valuable cabinet space.Cons- No matter how big of a lip or edge, if you spin it too fast, stuff is gonna sling off! But that's true with just about every turntable!I am very pleased with this table and highly recommend it!

I bought this 6 1/2 years ago and it is still working great to hold spices in my cupboard. It looks really nice so it is kind of a shame to have it hidden away, but it is serving its purpose.

This little armchair table is a good product. The spring loaded hinged bamboo clasps grip very well. It can hold coffee/cocoa mug, glass/plastic drinking cups and a small plate or bowl easily. It's easy to wipe or wash clean. And it looks good

First of all I want to thank all the reviewers for their input. Weighing all your pros and cons, I decided to gamble on this 2-tier turntable because it is essential for my limited cabinet space.That being said, I'm glad I bought this because it utilizes every last bit of space in the cabinets and now all my extra spices and teas, etc. are completely organized. The height and width of the tiered tables are perfect for all my needs. I already had two single-tier bamboo turntables, which actually have better quality spinning mechanisms with smoother metal parts. This 2-tier turntable does have some plastic in the mechanism, so I'm going to say right off the bat, don't man-handle it, you need to be gentle with it when spinning, it is not 100% smooth, but the one I got is totally usable and I am pleased every time I open the cabinet to get something. Because of the plastic, I don't think it will last forever.For those who are not handy with building things: be very careful during assembly. You will need a rubber mallet, and do not be tempted to hammer from the top down, or you will damage the spinning mechanism. You need to turn the table upside down, insert the pegs and gently hammer only the areas that are at the end of the wood support pins. Do not hit anything against the smaller bamboo cylinder that the turntable will spin on or it will not work properly.The pegs on my turntable fit extremely tight, so I did not notice any need for glue. Also, I did give the center screw a tiny extra turn because I thought it might be a bit too loose, but not sure that was necessaryAll in all, a great device. I've been in many kitchens that would have been better organized with one or two of these.

I previously owned a similar turntable made of plastic. It became brittle after some years and fell apart. Wanting to avoid a repeat, I first looked at metal turntables, but many reviews described thin metal and poorly located screws. The price was higher for this bamboo version, but it is sturdy, attractive, moves smoothly and stores a ton of spices. It should be easy to clean since the surface is nicely sanded and smooth. The dimensions were also as described -- mandatory for me as I had to fit it in a narrow cabinet. Overall I am very pleased.

I ordered three of these to organize a wild mess of cooking spices.They look very nice, and I appreciate the use of bamboo, since it is a sustainable material.However, the quality of the units is very inconsistent. One of the units I received was mostly fine; it had a slightly off-center rotation, so I couldn't use it in the cabinet as orginally planned, but was otherwise okay. The other two units had more severe flaws. The second unit had an incorrectly placed spinner hole in the base, which made it spin so off-center that it was useless. The third unit had incorrectly sized peg holes for the vertical pegs, so it would come apart very easily when handled. I kept the good one and returned the other two for a refund.I'm a little skeptical of the design for the spinner mechanism, since it is held together with just a small screw, partially inserted into the bottom center. It seems to work okay, but I have seen some of the same problems that other reviewers reported, such as the bottom of the unit skidding on a smooth countertop.But, these look so much nicer than plastic carousels that I'm willing to give them 3 stars, despite the flaws.

I've always hated my disorganized spice cabinet. I have one old rotating disc spice holder - that was piled deep with spices. I could never see the stuff behind the outside layer. on the other side of the cabinet and on the upper cabinets I just had stuffed piled in. This 2-level spinning turntable solved all my problems. It made it possible for me to clean up and organize all the spices in a neat and orderly way. The bottom shelf is tall enough for ANY spice container I had. The top shelf is limited by my cabinet height. I chose not to move my shelf height in the cabinet - simply because it would've made that shelf difficult to use. So my upper are on this turntable only holds the short type of spices. I'm very happy with the unit - it's sturdiness and good looks. Surely recommend it.

Very quickly shipped, excellent service. Easy to assemble, just need a firm thump to make it all sit together nicely...lolSolidly built, I had thought that it may be flimsy because of the reasonable price but it is very solidly made. I am extremely pleased with this product (I bought 2) and would recommend it every time.Two years later...lol By coincidence I was going through reviews I have written and came across this one on the exact anniversary of the original review. I can safely say the product is excellent, still works well easy to clean when needed I can honestly say well worth the money...
