Serene's Silence Paperback – September 27, 2012

A great, great read. And mind you, this is coming from someone who doesn't normally read from this genre. Oh, and by the way, I've read this story twice now. That's how gripping this story is.Through the author's creative weaving of words, you'll easily get sucked into the story as you are plunged into a tale of surprisingly large scale, and can feel every scene and situation the characters are placed in. You'll effectively feel the undying heat of the sun-scorched desert and feel the uneasiness in the emptiness of the dark places of the world whilst envisioning a story unfold that is much more epic than seemingly at first glance.Not only will that keep you engrossed, but you will be additionally pleased with how exceptionally developed nearly each and every character is. This is clearly another strength of the author, as I found most of these characters to be utterly fascinating. There is an apparent history for nearly all of them and their distinct personalities are evident and clear in the things that they do and in the things that they say. Rare is there a throwaway character to be found within, there is likely someone here for every kind of reader to gravitate towards. (I personally found Rogger to be a hoot)For those curious, this is definitely worth your time and a read. In fact, I highly recommend it!

This book grabs the readers attention from the beginning and never turns loose. The setting is haunting; the characters are well developed and interesting. I completely enjoyed it and can't wait for the next book!

An intriguing story with captivating characters, very well written dialogues that create a story that I recommend to all readers who enjoy a good fiction. I didn't give it 5 stars only because of occasional grammar errors that somehow spoilt the general feeling from the piece.

I've read the book 2 years ago and was fascinated by the characters, charmed by the story. I’ve recently read it again and it still captivated me, hence the review. It’s no Clive Barker, but an excellent read nevertheless!
