I saw this first at a friends house and liked that it had a filter in the lid. My partner hates the smell of bananas and I tend to compost a lot of banana peels. This looks nice sitting on the counter, is very sturdy, holds a lot, and is easy to empty and keep clean. Oh, and there is no banana peel smell in the kitchen. It really is a hit in our household.I want to add a note. This container is meant to store scraps until you can add them to your compost pile or warm bin. NOT to store scraps indefinitely and let them compost. I'm a vegetarian so have a lot of scraps; we dump and rinse it out at least twice a week whether it's full or not. It's a wonderful container for this purpose. Very happy with it.

I am new to composting, and I put this under my sink, where it fits perfectly. Also, the charcoal filter is amazing because no bad smells escape from this little container! I like it a lot so far! Very easy to clean too. Came with an extra filter. The only complaint: would be nice to know when I could expect to change the filter, no instructions.

We would previously place our items to compost in a large bowl and then dump it many times a day. Occasionally it would begin to smell. This container holds so much more and we never notice any smell thanks to the charcoal filter in the cover. And now we only need to empty it every few days.

This holds about two to three days of scraps. It is easy to carry, to dump, and to clean.

We finally replaced our "dirty bowl on the counter" with a proper compost bin, and this one is adorable. It has a handle, so it's easier for my son to take out to the yard compost bin twice a week. Also, the stainless steel is much easier to clean than the plastic bowl we were using before.Instead of putting the charcoal filter in the little lip at the base of the lid, I just shoved it up into the top of the lid, directly under the air holes. This should help to keep the filter a little cleaner, and I haven't noticed any bad smells yet — but again, we were working with an open plastic tub before, so anything is an improvement!

I was using the green waste bags in a plastic bin, but after running out I decided to stop wasting money and get this. I use it with no bag, and just empty it when full into our giant green waste bin, and then wipe it out and rinse it. The filtered top really keeps the smells inside! When we remove the top to put stuff in, it is really smelly, so I know it works great! It comes with a second filter, too, which I have yet to need.

Sehr hübsch und super Größe.Nachdem ich mir die Rezensionen durchgelesen hatte, war ich etwas hin und her gerissen. Aber der Eimer entspricht absolut meinen Erwartungen und meinen Ansprüchen. Optisch macht er einen sehr hübschen Eindruck und vom reinigungsaufwand ist er super. Einfach auswaschen fertig.Den Härtetest hat er geruchsmässig ebenfalls mit sehr gut bestanden. Ich habe Essig-Gewürz-Gurken hineingegeben und ihn extra Tage lang in der Küche stehen lassen. Da kam gar nichts an Geruch heraus, erst wenn man den Deckel hoch nahm.Der Deckel hat im übrigen keine Gummilippe und schließt nicht dicht ab, denn es sind ja Löcher im Deckel, die mit der Kohlematte versehen sind. Es kann also gar kein Unterdruck entstehen, sodass man sehr wohl mit nur einer Hand und ohne Kraftaufwand den Deckel anheben kann, um mit der anderen Hand die Bioabfälle einzufüllen.Die kohlematte lässt sich mit etwas Geschick gut herausnehmen und die neue wieder einsetzen.Ich denke, wenn man etwas aufpasst, dass der Rand sauber bleibt und der Deckel nicht vollkommen schmutzig wird, wird der Eimer kaum Probleme bereiten und sehr lange halten.Da man ihn heiß abwaschen kann und er keine Unmengen hineinfüllen kann, muss man ihn sicher nicht in die Spülmaschine stecken.Als Fazit: meiner Meinung nach ist dies ein wirklich guter Komposteimer und sein Geld auch wert.
