Great for planning activities around a book. I use the R+R books as my jumping off point but I wouldn’t think the series works as an “off the shelf” lesson pack

I bought this to use with my P5 class. It was a great resource and had loads of great lesson ideas and starters for the novel study.

Excellent resource which I have used as a basis for a complete English unit for my Year 5 class. Much better than older Read and Responds.

Very useful for ideas, as we've never used this book in school before. Some we will use as they are, others we'll adapt. The CD Rom is a great bonus.

There isn't much in this to help kick start the book. You need to at least have read the book with your students before you can make use of a lot of the lessons and activities. My students are only on chapter 4 of the book and we have already got loads of lessons out of them. So I am beginning to wonder when this Read and Respond is going to be helpful. We'll see. I hope so becasue it isn't cheap. Perhaps the paper version would have been better.
