Fit for purpose but dirty and needs a good wash before use.
This item arrived earlier than expected in a strong bag in a box. It is an ideal grain size for a small or medium tank and looks good. I used it in a 12 x 18β tank and only needed half of the 25kg. The only down side is I expected it to be a lot cleaner given the description. The word clean should be removed. Like most aquarium grit I have ever purchased this needed a prolonged wash and was very dusty. I was expecting it to be cleaner given the missleading description. It is not round pebbles but stone chips I had my hands in and out of it for a couple of hours and never received any scratches or cuts so I am happy it is smooth enough and wonβt damage my fis. Overall after the washing very good and fit for purpose.

Used 20kg in my 4ft fish tank, perfection
After rinsing this gravel thoroughly, I used a single 20kg bag in a 4ft fish tank. It is by far my favorite substrate yet and I will definately be changing my other appropriate tanks to this at my next convenience! 10/10

Perfect
I needed some pea gravel to finish of a very thin border along the back of my garden that was left when we had the garden paved. This stuff was perfect, and exactly enough for my needs, the only thing I'll say is that it is very small gravel, like aquarium stones rather than pea sized, but that wasn't an issue for me as stones are just stones aren't they lol.. some people may be dissatisfied with the size though if they are trying to match it to your "usual" looking pea gravel. I'd rate it 5/5.

the makers need to take pre-washed off their product.
they need to remove the prewashed, as I can get the same gravel type of my local beach in a cleaner state then this came in. so much red sand had to be washed off of it I have to say did irk me a little bit, I knew the rule of the thumb for fish keeping anyway one must always wash new things before adding to any tank new or old, but this was taking the micky a bit. Also there were a large number of share flint like chipping's in it, not something that should be found in pea gravel (pea gravel is supposed to be rounded not Sharpe), this is not something the seller can do anything about aside from rise concerns with the "manufacture" as a trader which often has more kick then a customer. however after painstakingly removing ALL the red sand and shape bits which took away 7kgs of the Wight of my 20kg I ordered its ended up looking quite nice in my new fish tank. Delivery too an awful long time as well, but it got here in the end, even if I did have to spend all day washing it and picking our the harmful to fish sharp bits.

Amazing value!!
More than enough to give a 2 inch carpet of pebbles in my 360l tank. Was incredibly dusty so even though it says prewashed it definitely needs a good wash before putting into your tank. Stones are a nice size and neutral colours. Came delivered in a strong sealed bag inside a box so was well packaged.Amazing value!!!

Delighted with the Dorset pea gravel . Only Needed a good clean. Looks great in aquarium. Well recommend. Would have given it 5 stars if it had been washed.
