30W laser module

This was really a nice upgrade for my diode laser. It was easy to install and really does the job. Only complaint was that the little module they sent with it was unprotected and has no mounting hardware. I just used Zip ties to tie it down. One other thing they did not mention is the the unit is bigger than the original and it would hit the frame when you home it. I just 3d printed a spacer for the micro switch to keep that from happening. Other that those 2 things, I really like it and it works well.

Just installed this on my Falcon CR10 laser engraver (changed from 10watt setup to the K30 laser head) Definitely using the provided power supply. This unit is for DIY machine setups. The included driver board should take care of any connection you need to get this unit going. For the most part it was plug and play with my setup as far as wiring goes. My challenge was mounting the sliding bracket to my existing frame. The provided bracket has more than enough holes and slots to accompany your existing setup. Personally, I found the M5 screw heads wouldn't fit into the slotted sections and the M4 screw heads that i used to attach would not countersink enough to clear the sliding bracket on the head so there were some slight modifications made to make things work. It would have been nice to have some zip ties and maybe a few random fasteners that would work with the provided hardware. Overall i think i made a good purchase. The blue anodized finish matches the Creality frame which was a bonus. One gripe i have thus far is simply having to turn on/off the laser head separately from the gantry but a power strip handles that for now.

Going from a 5W & 10W to this 30W, It's fast. Cut the power back a lot, and speed it up.

K30 with the TTS 600x600mm expansion kit. Works great stability is better than expected.

Upgraded my k40 with this, and all I can say is "wow, why did if fight this thing so long" I spent hours making all adjustments on my k40 c02 to only have it fail to cut through time and time again. I had upgraded the size to 16x24 so didn't want to trash it, and didn't want to drop $4000 on a new unit. Thought I'd give this a try. Direct hookup to the MG3 upgrade board.

I was part way through a laser project when the XTOOL 10W diode laser failed. Read about this one, and took a chance. I am very impressed with the output of this laser. I can now cut 3mm Basswood in one pass at 60-70% power. Prior, I was making 4 to 5 passes at 100% to cut same 3mm Basswood. It is a little heavier and larger than the XTOOL 10W. However, the frame does seem to support it well.

The K30 is exactly as described, a huge step up from my old 7watt. The only issue I had were to do with shipping, which was was adequate at best. The laser spent 5 days in Canadian customs before LaserTree let me know I had to come up with extra $ even though I'd already paid Amazon extra to cover custom & duties on the initial order. The Laser kit was missing one cable but I contacted LT and they sent another cable kit from China so added another 2 weeks until I could fire it up. Documentation is a 5 out of 10 but FB groups are good with support. I'd recommend this as an option to going to a CO2.
