I cannot fault this yarn, it’s beautiful! It’s super soft and lives up to its velvet name. Also a very nice thickness and feels durable. I found it very easy to work with, especially when compared to some other chunky chenille yarns I’ve worked with previously. There was minimal fraying. I only saw some small bits come off the very end but that’s to be expected with this type of yarn and it really was the smallest amount.I will absolutely be buying more of this yarn in every colour!

Lovely and soft nice colour excellent to crochet with

Pros: soft, lovely colours, easy to crochet. Works great for amigurumi. Reasonable price. Cons: It can be a bit tricky to unravel if you make a mistake in your work because if you try to tug on it too much, it tends to break. Finished item seems sturdy enough though. After working with this for a few days, I have noticed that it tends to shed quite a bit. I wouldn’t use it for clothing or something that is used constantly.

Lovely and soft, fluff doesn't come off at all. Great for cuddly toys.

I’ve ordered an array of colours and all have been great, lovely colours, soft and easy to work - bar this dark brown. I had a replacement of the original ball but must have been the same batch as the replacement is just as brittle, snaps, snags and sheds ultimately making it useless. Won’t be wasting my time returning it for a refund that likely won’t be in full because I had to start using it learn it was duff! Disappointed as it was the ideal colour for my project. Asides from this colour I really recommend this yarn!

I use lux velvet for crochet/amigarumi, and it's smooth and easy to work with. I've tried quite a few velvet and chenille yarns, and this by far my favourite

This was originally a 5 star review. But once I got to the end of my pumkin, I had to change it. Yes it's an absolutely beautiful yarn, crochets so easily, not too thick and slides on the crochet hook so smoothly. It's also SOOOO soft! I could make a whole blanket out of this stuff. Unfortunately, the problem is it breaks SO EASY, it came to sewing the end of my pumpkin and 🎉 POP, like a little thing of confetti, orange yarn went everywhere and it snapped, and every single time I put a small amount of tension on, POP again. I am super disappointed because the yarn is so lovely, but it is basically yarn on a piece of thread. I had to use a different colour and yarn to sew up my pumpkin. Please see pictures attached for reference. If it was thicker in the middle it would be perfect. Unfortunately it isn't :(

The only thing I liked about this yarn is the soft feel of the thread. It is not easy to work with and lint keeps coming off of it. I won,t be buying it from now on.
