Excellent bang for the buck!!!
Got this in the day before we left out and mounted it on our 2008 H-D Ultra Classic, did a 1500mi roadtrip using this GPS and bang for buck you are not going to beat it for a weatherproof gps thats ready to be mounted on a motorcycle!! Hard riding, rain, sun.. it shrugged it all off and kept right on ticking. The maps installed are accurate and it had no issue keeping us headed in the right direction.Pros:COST!! Hard to beat a weatherproof gps at this costMounts. Handlebar AND windshield suction cup mounts included.Wiring. Cig lighter and hard wire wiring. Nice easy feel to use, the interface makes sense once you play with it for a bit.SOLID. The design and mounting is durable and you can tell its built to take some abuse.Maps. Accurate, and you can pick what kind of routing you want.. easiest, shortest, fastest, etc.Trip Computer. Average speed, top speed, time driving, time stopped, etc. It tracks it all.Cons:Battery life. Pretty typical for a GPS unit... one to two hours MAX when not plugged in, but its enough to use it to plot the route at night in the room or tent for the next dayScreen. Yes it can be a bit hard to see in direct light, but thats the case with any GPS unit.Layout. This has alot of options on it so you do need to spend some time playing with it to figure out what features do what. However, once you do its nice to have the extra features. If in doubt, use it in the simple or normal mode, and save the expert mode for later. All in all, we had no major or minor complaints. Even the better half could see the upcoming turns and read the street names and clock/timer on the screen while looking over my shoulder.

it does not have the best user interface
There have been other reviews too, I'll just write out the gist here and you can decided if you want it.This is a gps which tries to do everything - and as with all products which try the same, fails to impress in any of them. This is not a gps if you are not tech-savvy, it does not have the best user interface, neither is the touch great. I'm still wondering if I can point out just one area where this gps truly shines !This is a gps for people with a lot of time on their hands and spend them in googling for a how-to that they can actually follow and then feel happy about it :)The motorcycle mount works, but if there is sunlight falling on the screen, you cant see a thing even when you are walking, let alone while riding.I use this product in conjunction with cell phone google maps because its just impossible to blindly trust it. It does not use optimal routes in so many cases. It charted out a 6 hr route from grand canyon north rim to Vegas (with all options) when it could be done in 4.5 hrs. Weird.Another weird issue I observed, the screen bulged up once and stayed like that for a day - not sure if it had something to do with atmospheric pressure or something. Then it came back to normal, crazy.I know most people buy this because of the 'motorcycle' tag on this and the other ones in the same category cost atleast twice as much. But I've realized that buying this gps is a bad decision, you will have to spend time looking for maps/instructions later anyway, you might just as well use the same time to find a proper mount for one the garmin car gps and use it on the motorcycle instead.

Very good product that i have found so far
I just went on a 4000 mile round trip on my Harley Davidson. The day that i left it was poring down rain but i had to leave that day as snow was coming in that night. Anyhow it was raining for the first 15 hours of my trip and it worked very well for the entire trip. I was even able to touch the screen with my soaking wet gloves. The product has an auto night version where it goes darker so it is not blinding you when riding in the dark. I would say for the price this is a good product. I hard wired this to the pre-terminated connections that were their for the Harley systems but you can hard wire it to your headlights as well so it will remained charged or if you have a cigarette lighter you can plug it in there. Now lets get to some of the features that make this a pro or a con. Ill start with the pros.Pro. This is Waterproof for sure as the rain that i went through on the bike was anywhere from drizzle to not being able to see 50ft in front of the bike. Has an easy touch screen to navigate through. Has where you can upload you own pictures, games, videos ect. The clamp on the bike held all the way down and back. Seemed to have all the up to date roads. Has the night and day feature where it changes the colors of the roads and background which you can change/turnoff if not needed. Accurate on road turns up to about 100 ft or so i would say. Has a back light feature that you can turn down if the night version is still to bright for you. The Cradle that the GPS fits into is nice as it fits tightly in place and if you do feel safe with that it has a screw attachment that you can screw into the back of the GPS to make sure it isn't moving. When you are on the interstates or highways it will pull up the sighs of the upcoming exit to show you what lane you should be in. Able to put in multiple points in your destination and able to see your route easy enough. When you plug this into a computer you can save a backup copy of all the configurations that are on it just in case if they get deleted. You can save any route that you want to take so you don't have to re-put in all the information over and over. Easy to shut off/turn on/put to sleep. Seems to be pretty durable as i accidentally dropped it a few times. Battery lasts about 6 hours or more on a full charge as i was testing it before my bike ride just to make sure it would do the job. Manual seems to simple enough to read. When it was synced up with the GPS i didn't loose service anywhere that i went even when i was going through the Appalachian mountains.Cons. The glare on the screen makes it a little hard to see in direct sunlight but if you angle it down a little bit you can see enough to still use with the back light turn all the way up. With the vibrations of a Harley the ball joint that they have with it that combines the cradle to the handle bar attachment is a little hard to get it tight enough that it doesn't move but easy enough to move it back into position. It is a little hard to get your routes to go on specific roads that you want. it is very sensitive to where you click on the roads causing me to take a few detours on my trip but i figured out i was on the wrong road pretty quick and fixed it so if you get it just be careful and double check before you take off which you can see your entire route information easy enough. Takes a little bit for this to sync up with the GPS about 3 minutes or so. Doesn't tell you if there is a rest area or gas around so still have to look at the signs for gas. Think that is all the cons that i found. All in all for the cost compared to the Harley brand GPS's this was definitely worth its weight in gold but have to give it 4 stars due to those few cons. Hope this was helpful.
