Looks beautiful, sounds even better !
The Faith range of guitars is outstanding. I was planning to buy myself a "name" guitar - Gibson, Martin, or similar - as I've played guitar non-professionally all my life, and I just wanted to own a real "quality" instrument before I had to start learning the harp ! ! ! My local music dealer said that yes, you can spend thousands on a "name", but it won't sound that much better than a Faith at a quarter the price. He argued that there are a lot more experienced luthiers out there now who have proved that a very playable, excellent-sounding guitar can be produced at a fraction of the "big name" price.I've always been fussy. For me, an acoustic guitar has got to have a thin neck with low action (I prefer to crook my thumb over rather than use barre chords), a machine head where the pegs don't rattle, the strings stay in tune, excellent intonation all the way up the neck, and an overall sound that has deep resonance and long sustain. The Faith Hi Gloss Saturn gives you all that.I can confirm the Saturn Hi Gloss Cutaway Electro acoustic is equally as good, with absolutely no loss of tone through the loss of bodywork or the addition of a pickup.String gauge is crucial : 012, 016, 024, 032, 042, and 053. Deviate from that and the intonation goes.Have a listen to the Rooftop Singers version of "Walk Right In" from the early sixties. It is famous for its long, twelve-string guitar introduction. Well, the Saturn Hi Gloss twelve-string sounds like that. Big and thunderous !As far as I know, the only other brand that can equal the Faith Saturn Hi Gloss series is the Lag Tramontane 400 series.
