Good headphones, touch won't accidently activate on pillow
Update after 1.5 years: Had an issue where one earbud would stop charging, or rarely charge. First happened at 6 months. Exchanged under warranty. One year later, having the same issue. I have liked them. They have good sound and are easy to use. But I would not order them again. I might be a fool, but I'm looking at buying one of their other models. Mostly because I'm looking for a good brand name that isn't $200. Side note: JBL was great about the warranty and shipped the replacement pods quickly. Update after 5 months of use: A quick update of the ear buds. The charging of the ear buds is fast. Going from "low battery" to full takes a short amount of time. I think a minute or two. Never timed it. A couple of issues: * Taking calls on it is hit or miss. Often the headphones will get out of sync and it will do a weird binaural thing where it will alternate between each ear getting cut out for a split second back and forth for about two seconds. This can happen multiple times in a minute. * Over a bit of time of playback, the earphones will cut out for about 2-3 seconds. I'm not sure why. Maybe some sort of sync issue? More annoying when listening to an audio book than music. Original Review: This review is for: JBL Tune Flex - True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds (White), Small Overall, I like them. Video mode has no audio lag. They sound good with boosted base and sealed tips. I really wish there was a way to turn on the headphones without the case. Highs: * When using to go to sleep, the pillow won't accidently activate the touch controls (very nice). * Touch controls are responsive and are easy to activate. I haven't had them accidently double activate so far. * Video mode has no audio/video lag. Must be enabled in the app. By default it is set to Music mode. * Good sound. They sound very good when using the bass EQ, music mode, and the sealed tips. * Fit is good. Three sizes for sealed tips. * Can setup each touch control to a different command set. * Important! : If you want volume control, it must be setup in the app. * Has a "find earphones" function (only when still turned on). Emits a tone and is easy to hear. * Has an optional auto standby which also optionally deactivates ANC. For example: With some other earphones, ANC will stay on even with auto standby enabled. If using them to sleep to, ANC being on all the time will cause the battery to be low by morning. * Good Bluetooth range. Lows: * Hard to get out of the case. This seems to be common with all case based small headphones. There isn't a good way to grip them and they won't shake out. * When getting out of the case, it's easy to activate the touch controls over and over. (Skip, play, pause, volume up.) * No way to turn on the earphones without the case. Not even with the app. Cannot force standby either. * This means that if you forget the case, you can't put them in your pocket because the touch controls fire randomly. The app can turn off the earphones. * Couldn't tell a difference between ANC on or off. With or without the sealed tips. But I was not really surprised for small in ear headphones. Other: To put on or take off the tips, use a credit card or spudger to separate the white tips from the body. The sealed tips are easy to add and remove.

Great value earbuds with that signature JBL bass!
I’ve been using these JBL Tune Flex earbuds for about two weeks now, mostly for my daily commute and workouts, and I’m really impressed for the price. First off, the sound is classic JBL – that deep, punchy bass really shines through on hip-hop and EDM tracks, but mids and highs are clear enough for podcasts and calls too. I downloaded the JBL app right away and tweaked the EQ a bit to boost the vocals, and it made a big difference. Battery life is solid; I get through a full week of 1-2 hour sessions without charging the case often, and the quick charge feature is handy when I’m in a rush. The fit is what sold me – they come with both the sealed silicone tips and open ones, so I switch depending on if I’m running (sealed for better noise isolation) or just walking around and want to hear traffic. They’re super comfortable; I can wear them for hours without any ear fatigue. ANC isn’t top-tier like on premium buds, but it knocks down subway rumble and office chatter enough to focus, and Ambient Aware mode works well when I need to stay aware. Calls are clear – people say I sound natural, no complaints about background noise. They’re also sweatproof, which is perfect for gym sessions. Overall, for everyday use, these punch way above their weight. If you’re not chasing perfect ANC and want great bass and flexibility, definitely recommend them. Way better than my old cheap pairs!

Great budget buds
Was a little skeptical because I haven't really heard of this brand besides the big speakers I see all the time. Exceeded expectations. The noise cancelling is jarring at first because you don't expect it to work as well as it does in these little buds. Felt like I was wearing some gun range earmuffs, they'd randomly pick up my pug wheezing and I'd be wondering what the hell that noise was sort of like how headsets will boost stuff like air conditioners that you never really noticed before. The audio quality is great. I'm sure audio freaks will denounce these as being less than perfect but I can't tell any issues. If you want more bass just adjust it in the app, crisper vocals- you can do that. It's got a simple but robust equalizer you can mess with to your heart's content. Gets loud enough to worry you about hearing loss, even kindly has a setting to prevent you from doing this if you lack self control. The case is cute, feels nice in the hand, is a little weighty but not so much that you notice it in your pockets constantly bouncing around. The earbuds are a little tricky to put in until you just memorize the orientation, it's a very precise fit where your brain can kind of imagine them going in a few other ways til you find the proper one. The provided charging cord is incredibly short and an ugly bright orange but I suppose it helps since you'd probably lose it in two seconds if it wasn't glowing. The earbuds themselves look fine, subtle design. Dark, matte, won't draw much attention unlike some brands with the bright gold accents and LEDs and all that junk. The default set are a little loose in the ears but there's 3 sets of tips to find a better fit. May god have mercy on your soul of these don't fit because the connector looks pretty unique. Not sure if generic tips would fit onto the thin oval lips these use. The touch controls are a bit annoying, constantly calling random numbers or whatever else my phone is interpreting as the noises of my fumbling to put the buds in their case after listening for a bit. You can just turn it off though so it's not a big deal. EDIT: Actually you can't, disregard that. A bit annoying, gotta grab them a very specific way when putting in and removing from case. Screw Raycons, get these any day of the week if you're a cheapskate who still likes quality stuff like me.

Good but seem to have a glitch... Purchase the insurance for sure!
These WERE amazing but after about a year they now no longer stay charged and when I do charge them even when they're in the case they connect to my phone when not in use. Seems like a glitch of some sort. I use them but when I try to use another device they then connect and interfere with the other device even when they're in the case. Disappointed but I should've purchased the insurance offered at the time of purchase. Other than that, these are a good product.

Nice enough for the price but the fit could be better and the features were as advertised.
1.) First impression with the fit is that the earbuds sit pretty loosely in the ear canal. But if you choose the correct size pads for your ears and rotate the bottom of the buds (the part that hangs down outside of your ears) forward as the manufacturer instructs, they fit well enough. Still, I would not feel comfortable jogging or running with them in as I feel they are likely to fall out. I use these while sitting at my desk to work. 2.) The observed battery life is just under 6 hours of continuous play time before needing to recharge the buds in the case. While this is really good for a set of smaller in-ear earbuds, it falls decidedly short of the advertised 8 hour playtime. That was disappointing as I now have to switch back to my old worn out earbuds to finish out the workday. You do get 3+ earbud’s recharges out of the case though, which is nice. 3.) The noise canceling feature of these (or maybe just mine) does not seem to work. I hear no discernible difference between the Noise Cancelling and Ambient Aware settings. That being said, I do like the Talk Through setting that limits the volume to a lower level enabling you to listen to music and still clearly hear your surroundings. For the price, these are a nice set of earbuds. The sound quality is pretty nice and through the app you have multiple equalizer settings, including the ability to create a custom setting for your preferred settings outside of the presets. I just wish the fit was more secure for exercising, the battery life was as long as advertised and that the noise canceling feature actually worked.

I love these and would get a 5th pair if needed.
A review and a tribute to my favorite earbuds. My forgetful self loves these earbuds. I say that because I've had multiple of these after losing them or getting them submerged in water. 4 pairs... This coming from a Sony guy. JBL did well with these. They look nice and I can wear them for hours in comfort and because the battery will last that long. The case is so small it fits easily in my pocket. The colors are nice and so is the sound on music and phone calls for the price I paid especially, which was less then half of the full price. My latest pair is going on 6 months and they are holding up very satisfactorly for nearly daily use.

Nice audio but JBL broke something to do with charging
These earbuds are the best replacement for my AirPods (RIP) out of the 2 others I’ve tried. The sound quality is really good, they’ve got a good bass response and good clarity so you hear the nuances in music. I’ve tried jazz, classical, post-punk, and R&B music on them and they sound good with those, but I can’t yet say how phone calls sound bc I haven’t tried that yet. Battery life is really long, and the case almost never needs recharging! These are more versatile than the other earbuds I tried. I got them because you can use them with or without the sealing suction cup ear tip thingies. I like them without, because this way (1)they stay in place and don’t work their way loose from my ears every few minutes just like other sealing tip earbuds used to do, they let air through so they don’t make my ears all sweaty and gross, and (2)if something happens that I need to hear, I can pause the music and hear outside of the earbuds without having to fumble with taking the earbuds out. I live in a violent area and I need to be able to hear my surroundings for my own safety. The app is pretty nice, it lets you choose the functions that happen when you tap them, or even disable tapping functions, which I do sometimes so I don’t accidentally skip songs etc. just because I accidentally touched them. It also lets you adjust the EQ with presets or custom settings. It’s the first time I’ve had earbuds with an app and at first I thought it’d be dinky to have an app for my earbuds, but i changed my mind to like it because it works well and you can just set it and forget it. As for reliability, these don’t seem to have the connection issues that people on Reddit reported that they had. Maybe these are an updated model? I’ve had them for about a week and they are behaving just like any normal Bluetooth device. Pretty hassle-free. I’m happy. UPDATE: after just 11 months of light to moderate use, they are doing the thing where one bud’s battery drains from 100% to nothing in 5 minutes, they’re failing to stay disconnected from the phone even when they’re supposed to be charging . Also the case gets stuck charging to only 10%. UPDATE 2: there is a fix for this, after which the earbuds are working well again: you have to stick a few layers of little pieces of tape in the inside of the lid to make it push the buds down harder into the pins when closed, so they both charge (the problem is, the springs for the pins goes bad over time, so they don’t make good contact). Then to clear out the glitches caused by this case fiasco you have to factory reset the buds according to the quick start guide, and then do this: open the JBL app, remove the buds to make them pair to the app, then put them back in the case BUT LEAVE THE LID OPEN, then in the app tap “power off.” I’ve had no more problems since. UPDATE 3: After a few months the same BS started back up again but this time on the other earbud, and this time none of the fixes work. The case absolutely won’t charge at all ever. I’ve given these so many chances. And no, cleaning the contacts makes no difference. Come to find out, people all over the internet have these same problems across many different JBL products. These are too expensive to be this flaky. I’m absolutely done with JBL.

Not more than "ok"
It all depends on your expectations: I mostly use them to listen to podcasts and for that the sound quality is just fine. For music aficionados they're not so great, though. Compared to the Samsung buds that these JBL's replaced, they don't feel as substantial, the surface seems almost slippery smooth to the point of being cumbersome to remove from the case. I don't think the "noise canceling" actually works to any noticeably degree. Battery life is great, however, the left bud will not frequently decide to not charge in the case and emerge dead after 8 hours of "charging". In summary, these buds work ok for my use but they are far from great.

No noise canceling
Very poor quality. There is no noise cancellation, and the sound quality is unclear. Overall, a very poor experience and far below expected quality standards

Why didn't I buy these sooner?
I love these ear buds. Very comfortable, long lasting, excellent sound quality. An absolute 5-star bargain for the price.

Reliable Sound, Unbeatable Value
JBL is a brand I’ve come to trust for both quality and affordability. I bought a pair of these headphones for my husband over two years ago, and they’ve held up incredibly well—he still uses them daily and swears by them. In fact, he prefers them over his $500 Sony headphones, which says a lot! I was so impressed, I got a pair for myself—and I’ll keep coming back to JBL. The sound quality is fantastic, the build is durable, and the price point makes it a no-brainer. If you're looking for dependable audio gear without breaking the bank, this is the way to go.
