An excellent gaming switch- beats my old Kinivo hands down!
I purchased this switcher as a replacement for a Kinivo 5x1 that would no longer meet my needs. I wish I'd done it sooner, I like this switch much better!Functionally, the two are identical- plug your TV into the 'out' port, plug your various tech toys into the 'in' ports, plug it in and let the auto sensors figure out what's on. Both allow for manual source switching, both come with a remote for easy access to specific inputs via manual switching. This one has an ARC button the Kinivo didn't, I don't use ARC so I can't comment on that.Things I like about this unit:-Metal housing. I know it doesn't really mean anything, but being in a metal box instead of a plastic one just makes the unit feel more substantial.-Smaller lights! The old Kinivo technically had better lights, one for each input... but man, they were BRIGHT! In a bedroom setup like mine, it effectively becomes a nightlight. Handy for kids, I guess, but I always had to put a lil' cloth over the thing to be able to sleep! This guy's got one big LED somewhere in the middle of it, and uncovers a small hole by whatever input's on. It's much, much dimmer, and I'm glad to not have to keep it covered at night. Keep in mind, it does make it hard to tell what source is on at a distance. The LED also shines out around all the HDMI ports. Whether that's good or bad depends on how dark your setup is around the box.-more compatibility & 'always on'. I think I need to point out I think my old box was a lil' defective. I foolishly turned down the offer for a replacement from Kinivo as at the time, it wasn't an issue. Anyway- with my old box, the TV didn't recognize the source as being active until I turned on something plugged into it. This meant if I wasn't already using the correct input on my TV, I had to turn on a device, wait for the switch to activate, then change inputs. I also had to use a specific input on the TV for the switch... only one of 4 worked without causing the input to 'flicker' on and off, making it impossible to change sources. I also couldn't use my Xbox 360 at all without causing the same flicker. If I had to reboot a source- like if a game console updated & needed to restart- half the time I'd lose the signal and need to randomly turn on and off the TV & source until it caught it again. This switch isn't giving me and of that grief. The TV recognizes it as plugged in and on all the time, so I can choose it as my input before turning anything on. I currently have running to it a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch with no issues. I've done a couple of system updates, no lost signals. Basically, I don't have to think about it, it just works... just how I like my switchers. The only downside so far, it does take a couple seconds longer to start compared to my old box. Hardly an issue to write home about, but I guess if you're doing a lot of switching around it might be a bigger deal. I also can't speak for how it works with a constantly active signal plugged in, like a cable box. But if you're looking for a way to run a lot of game systems to your TV, this is a great unit!

Reliable so far; input cycle button on remote.
Pro:- Remote control has a button that cycles between inputs and this is useful for mapping universal remotes.- Doesn’t need to be powered off every other day to prevent freezing up like a j-tech switch I tried before.Con:Minor, the optical cable didn’t “snap” in like I’m used to but the audio connection appears to be good.So far so good. With 6 inputs I am covered with providing Dolby output to my Sonos playbar.
