Updating my review after prompt response from company. They graciously sent elbows so they would match. My Bella loves her window seat !!! Will be supporting this company in the future for sure !—————————————————-Anxiously awaited this item for my Bella. The cat tree blocked so much of the window that I wanted to try this. Unfortunately when it arrived the elbows were missing as other reviewers have stated. 😕 I fixed this by wrapping some black duct tape I had a couple times around the ends of each pole where the elbow is supposed to connect and bought a 3/4” elbow at my local hardware store. It’s too big for a half inch elbow and too small for three quarter, so the tape was an easy fix.The suction cups are super strong and in the pictures I’m not even using the bottom suction cups because the seat was so wide they were partly on the window glass and partly on the trim. Still, it’s very sturdy just resting on the window ledge.

Took me over an hour to assemble. The instructions were very clear but the materials are cheap and very rigid plastic so hard to manipulate into connections. I put it up and the cat sat on it and one of the calipers broke immediately!! When I took it down to look at I could see the connections were made of plastic and obviously someone who had the perch before had tried to tape it when it broke. They must have returned it and it was then shipped out to me. The box seemed to be opened before and taped back but I didn't think anything of it. I have had a Kitty Cot perch for years on my front window. Took minutes to assemble and my cat has had years of comfort watching the birds. Just wanted an extra one to put on the back of the house so purchased this one. I expect at least to be sent a new caliper or a refund. Included the picture of the broken plastic connector and the tape I found when I looked at it. My other perch from Kitty Cot is all metal calipers. I should have just reordered from them. I put one star review just for the clarity of the instructions.

In March 2018, I bought this Premium Window Cat Perch and the Kitty Cot because they both had great reviews and I have 2 big cats. Compared to the Kitty Cot, this Window Cat Perch has been sturdier, stronger, and the suction cups have stuck like glue over a period of 7 months on my outdoor window. In contrast, the Kitty Cot is flimsier, smaller, and has fallen every time I mounted it. Thank God it was always my brave cat perched on top when it fell. I was debating over getting the $20 replacement suction cups for the Kitty Cot, but I won't because I would rather keep my cats safe. Instead, I am going to buy a second Premium Window Perch, even though a new Perch is $40. Do these ever go on sale? This would be even better on sale.

The over all design and concept is great.It did not stay stuck to the window like promised and the two wires meant to hold the front up were different lengths.My cat got on it once and came off window and then she wouldn’t go near it again. I had to put it back up a few times & finally decided it was not worth the frustration or the safety of my cat.

EDIT: The company reached out to me the next day and replaced my cat perch. Upgraded original 3 stars to 5 because of the prompt, courteous, customer service.This was great, until it broke. A bit of a pain putting together, but at least that meant everything was solid once finished. My cats loved it. This morning though, my 12 pound cat jumped onto it and one of the wire loops came undone from its clamp, dumping the cat and the shelf on my son’s head (no one was injured, just surprised.) And of course, I can’t get the wire back into the clamp. So we will have to see what we can do to make it useable again. I don’t think the whole thing bad, I just think we had a faulty clamp on the support wire.

This seems sturdy in terms of materials, but it's slightly unstable because the cords are different lengths. At least I think that's the problem. It makes it slope forward to the right (or left of I were to dismantle and switch the cords).

4 stars because it will occasionally fall off the window, but I don't have it up very high so it's not a huge issue. Both of my cats seem irritated by the wire that runs from the window and attaches to the bed and they gnaw on it, however it's wire and they get bored of it pretty quickly. They seem to really love the perch and they even fight over it, which occasionally results in it falling off the window.

It's been a week or so and my cat loves this window perch. We live on the top floor of an apartment building and she loves to look down at the street at all the little people and cars. She also likes using it to sunbathe and she just stretches out and relaxes. I put a small fleece blanket on it for comfort. I was worried about the integrity of the suction cups but as long as you clean and dry the window area where the suction cups are going, it should be very sturdy. My cat is 11 lbs and it seems like it is very sturdy. I just wish I had measured my windows first because it turns out the individual windows are a couple inches too narrow, so what I did was put it between the two adjacent windows.
