Denver WCM-5003 Surveillance Camera - Camouflage

Have had it on trial outside for two weeks and just retrieved it. Daytime pictures and movies are good but I'm seeing nothing at night. I will revise the review upwards if I can figure out wlhat I need to do but after dark I get nothing onscreen at all except a branch waving in the wind close to the camera. If this is a permanent situation it means the infra red lighting is very weak and doesn't reach to the ground.The camera is up a tree to focus on some low life fly tippers who use our cemetery to dump carpet and rubbish. They don't come at night but I'd like to see the foxes and muntjack deer.The camera is higher than 3 metres, possibly 4m high so the illumination cannot reach though it has captured the occassional image at dawn and dusk and a workmans flourescent jacket after dark.Will now put a sim card in to see how that works. I tried a card from 3 but it doesn't use 2G only 3 or 4G bands, you need a 2g sim for this camera.To be frank if I can get it to work after dark and send me an email it'll be 5 stars but not yet and it might well be operator error. I'll contact the sellers after Christmas, they were prompt in dispatch and the product was well packaged.

Basic camera features worked OK but notification via SIM card was a nightmare! Never did manage to set up SIM correctly as APN & MMSC information is required from provider. If you get SIM from one of the big providers, this info is readily available but this item does NOT lend itself to setting up a monthly deal for a SIM card as this is not how the camera would generally be used. Consequently, we went for a deal with a small provider which wasn't time-limited but they were unable to provide all the information necessary to set up the card.It would be useful if this information was provided at point of sale so that potential customers could check with their SIM providers before purchasing. We never did manage to set up emailing from the camera. The instructions given were worse than useless! English was clearly not the first language of the manufacturers!

This product does not do what it promises. I have been unable get it to e.mail or text pictures and wasted £10 on a sim card too. Its easy to plug it into a computer and get to the menus etc but the instructions are so unhelpful. It simply says 'fill-in' the various fields and not what to fill it in with. You are given basically numerous open fields to fill in and no hint of what to type in or what format these fields need to be entered in as. It doesn't tell you what you got wrong either. I searched online for suggestions but when you have no example to follow and aren't told what field is incorrect its impossible to work out. It's like taking 7-8 consecutive shots in the dark with no one to assist at all.It does take pictures though so it does 1/2 of what it claims but I am disappointed.

Hi guys. Tried my o2 pay as you go sim in it and although I have full signal and followed the instructions I cannot get images to my phone. Images and performance on the device are excellent however. I'm confused as how the set-up is all prepared for o2 pay as you go but is does not work? Any help would be most greatful.

We found it really easy to get started with this little camera. Had to figure out the menu buttons though to get playback and to work out if we could set the sensitivity delay (you can't but it's at an acceptable level) as the leaflet wasn't very clear but that was simple enough. It's nice and waterproof and robust. Handy that it has a fixture to mount it on a tripod in addition to it's belt for attaching to vertical mounts like trees. Pleased.

This was purchased as a camping security camera - so I can have a record of anyone messing with our camping gear while away at a festival - seems to work well and is doing what it's meant to do.... I ordered the SD Card that was suggested at tone of purchase, this was the incorrect card as this unit takes a Micro SD and not the one that was recommended at the time of sale - my fault I should of looked at the details and not just believed what Amazon suggested.

Took a bit of finding the right setting for camera and video but eventually captured the culprit eating the hedgehog food - next door's cat.

Excellent product and service, but I am unable to set it up to send me photos by text. Any advice from Three Wise Monkeys would be appreciated.
