Maelson Dry Box Food Storage Bin, 7.5 Kg

Bought the 3 different sizes of these for keeping various rabbit hay/nuggets/treats. Put a bin liner inside to give extra security of staying dry as storing these outside. So far in all the rain, these are working really well.Edit: Have now had these bins for a few weeks. They are weatherproof, however the lid is a MAJOR problem. The rain puddles in the lid as it dips, once you open the lid, any rain water drips into whatever is in the bins. NOT ideal. Thankfully I have used bin bags inside these bins which keep everything covered. But this really isn't ideal for outdoor storage. If the bins did not have this edging on the lids and the lids were just flat, it might not be such a problem. Alternatively, if they ensured the lids could open without the rainwater spilling in, that would be an improvement.

First let me apologise for my spelling.Ok, so we have a gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and he spends every weekend and the other odd occasion or visit at my parents and he has his dinner up there, but there was no storage and we couldn't bring up the right amount of food.So I wanted a good container that we could store his dry food in and that would keep it fresh and so I started looking and found that most where too big and then I found this 7.5 Kg container with the bonus of a cup that comes with it.As soon as I saw it on Amazon and comapired the prices and found that it was cheaper and so I brought it from this seller on Amazon.It came quit quick, and we stated to use it at my parents and we all think that it's great, it keeps the food fresh and is easily out of the way. I can also honestly say that I will be getting a bigger one for at home.(I left it a good amount of months before writing this review)I hope that this review was helpful.

Purchased to keep dog food fresher for longer, with the idea that the sealed lid would keep the air out. Unfortunately the seal around the lid is rendered pointless by the fact that the green top section that it is built into sits loosely on the black plastic tub, allowing air to get in to the food.It is possible to solve this problem by sticking some self adhesive draught-excluder type seal on the the rim of the tub before putting the top part on (I found that some P profile rubber seal worked well), but it's a problem with the design that shouldn't have been there in the first place.If the seal is not put in place then you would be better off just keeping the food in the bag it came in than this container.

Very good indeed. It loses a star for the fact tat although the top lid is 'airtight' the green top seems a little loose therefore rendering the 'airtight' seal useless!!

We have been using these a for a few months. They are great quality and are holding up very well, with no signs of cracks or wear and tear. They hold a lot of food, too! The lid is easy to open for humans, but keeps the pets out, so they can't sneak extra servings. I would recommended these to any pet owner who wants an easier and more organized way to store food for their pets.

I bought 2 of these of different size. Both did the job well and a good purchase. The lids are secure enough to keep the dogs out.

I am pleased with my Maelson food storage bin which i bought to keep my dogs dry food in is a sturdy box and will last for years,it keeps the food air tight as it has a clip on the lid which you just push down its not hard.i was thinking of getting another one to keep bird seed in.

This is perfect for storing 5kg of dry dog food (could probably get 7 or 8kg in), and fits under a standard shelf in as built in kitchen cupboard. Nice touch having the scoop held in the lid. Also seems to seal well. Easy to clean. It gets used 3 times a day - very robust.
