Hidden security plus easy installation..
Only a drywall saw ($10) and a stud funder ($14) may not be in your DYI arsenal for this project. Of course a level to draw your lines plus an impact wrench to drive your carriage screws make this project even simpler. This safe went in in less than 45 minutes by complete amateurs with the tools listed here. Programming and configuring the safes innards they way you like it is another 5 minutes. Don’t buy this safe if you want to store long guns plus other items. The safe is best for short weapons plus documents/jewelry storage. If you store just one long gun you can’t put in shelves. Measure your guns first, the safe is not that tall. Great quality and only a moron could mess up the install.

Cool concept, failed execution.
While it may seem like a good solution and while it may be easy to install, I assure you, you will regret purchasing it. The mechanism and electrical components are secured in a fairly deep metal housing inconveniently situated in the center of the door. This means that it will interfere with anything stored inside. In fact, the metal housing takes up most of the internal space so lights, charging handles and any accessory unfortunate enough to be situated alongside your device will obstruct the door from closing, why? Because the metal housing was put in the worst geographical location- smack dab in the middle. Cool idea, failed design.

The knob or lack of one
This is a good little wall safe and installed easy. It holds quite a bit and is deep enough to stack up bills and put them inside. The locking mechenism takes up space at the 2nd shelf . The Wife and I are trying to think of a way to get ahold of the resest release knob, as thats how one has to pull it open, the knob is slick and we just have a hard time getting a grip on it. And just FYI this safe is not fireproof. We like this safe, is built well and operates fine.

Great, well-built safe
I bought this safe as a gun safe. It’s very well-built and sturdy, easy to install.... I love it! If I could change anything it would be the beeping of the keypad. It’s pretty loud, and if someone is breaking into my home in the middle of the night, it may ruin the element of surprise! Also, there’s really nothing to grip to open the door, so a handle would have made it a little more user-friendly. Mechanically, I noticed the door doesn’t always lock when I close it and turn the knob. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t, so I recommend making sure the door is securely locked before walking away from it. Because the shelves are narrow, my guns, even though they are small, won’t lay flat on the shelves so I stand them up and lean them against the back wall. I had my husband make a little aluminum lip on each shelf so the guns won’t slip off the shelf. I like the fact that we can have two different codes, plus a backup key to get into the safe. All in all a great safe, and I’m glad I purchased it.

Nice idea but doesn’t work
Others have mentioned it and if I had seen their reviews I would have passed but the lock for this is so deep you can’t shut the door with a long gun in the safe. In the picture that entire left side is unusable. I can fit one gun on the far right side of the case and shut the door. Because of the way the case is set up you also cannot install any of the shelves if you have a long gun so for this whole case all I can hold is a single shotgun and a few cases of shells on the bottom

A must have to secure any collection. Was easy to install and easy to hide.

Junk
This thing is junk and looks like it right out of the box. If it was 200 dollars I'd considered the amount of work I'm going to need to do to fix it acceptable but for 400 I got ripped off.

Great multipurpose in-wall safe
Ours arrived with evidence of the package being dropped on the top left corner but it didn’t bend the flange so we went ahead and installed the safe. It was fairly easy. I like the little compartment at the bottom. Probably good for one long gun but be aware of dimensions if that’s the main purpose of your purchase. Great for handguns but you’ll need magnetic gun holders. You can keep important documents, jewelry, cash, etc., safe. We’re very happy with ours.
