Astro Tools 3036 Air Belt Sander (3/8" x 13") with 3pc Belts (#40, #60 & #80)

Seems to be solidly constructed, really helps me get into corners in some of my smaller metal work pieces. I’d prefer it had a trigger safety, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Great addition to be took chest!

Amazing tool. Best bang for your buck. Works great. Looks great. Feels great. Super durable and pretty compact. Would not hesitate to purchase one again.

Having owned this handheld belt sander for almost 4 years now I can say this is a great tool to have on hand. I've used it for more projects than I ever expected to and for some work it's been indispensable. With this tool and 3M sandpaper you can tackle just about anything. I added a photo of a recent project to show how tight the workspace was and having to grind off a rivet head, no problem with this tool.

I haven't used the sander much yet but it seems to be well made. I'm disappointed that I can't find Scotchbrite or similar belts that will run on it, however, since that was what I wanted to use on it. With the idler wheel being so tiny, the Scotchbrite belts, being very stiff, fly right off before they even complete one revolution. Obviously that's not the fault of the sander. I wish the speed control lever allowed for a slower speed; on the slowest setting it still runs pretty fast. Overall, I'm pleased with the tool itself, and it was not very expensive.

Works great, noisy, but so handy! Wish I would’ve purchased long ago.

If you fabricate, fix, invent, modify, build most anything: This device will come in handy. Let's face it, wood can be shaved, chiseled, sanded and otherwise modified with a number of sharp tools. This could also help with the finese of those projects. When it comes to metal objects in a tight space you have less choices. This is very handy and will be unbeatable for many of those projects. It comes with a price: you need a good air compressor.

I got this tool when I started my production welding job I've put over 600+hours using this tool and I've never had a problem with it I would definitely recommend this tool for anyone looking for good quality and reliably.... comparing this to the competitor dynabrade this is lighter and in my less of the cost and it is easier to fit into small places

This was a gift from drunk me who thought i could make good use of it. Drunk me was right! I have found all sorts of handy uses for this tool, and there are MANY different grits of sanding belts. Originally i tried to remove some sealant on the roof of my motorhone with it. At first it worked fantastic, however the sealant worked itself into some rotating areas and gummed it up. Later i found i can sharpen tools using some fine grit belts to a razor sharp edge! I found its best use is just as a power file, using the many different belt options and it's quick and easy belt changes!

Great product for the price, works really well, get plenty of spare sanding belts, it goes through them

No duro ni un día para uso domestico, no la recomiendo.

Acheté pour l'entreprise ou je travail, l'équipe adore! Belle qualité de produit!
