StetsonMen's Distressed Leather Ivy Hat

Well-made nice hat; nice fit. But the "nice fit" takes a bit of doing if you're on the large end of the scale. I measure exactly 24" which translates to a hair under size 7-5/8, but means that a 7-1/2 is much too small. (24" also translates to almost exactly 61cm if that's the way the maker measures the hat.) The Amazon size chart says that I'm an XL, but Stetson only offers a L/XL - which translates to "fits a Large, and may fit an XL if you like it snug." So when the hat arrived it felt fairly snug compared to a couple of other fitted leather ivy/flat caps. The main difference appears to be that this Stetson has a elastic "sweat band" while the others don't have any elastic at all. And because of the X/XL sizing, this hat also fits much closer to my head than my others. That said, I tried it out on a cold windy day and I have to say I like the fit, snug but comfy, and no danger of it being blown off. After a few minutes, I didn't even notice the snug band and the close fit actually looks pretty good. I wish the cap were lined, but I've already gotten used to it. The leather and stitching appear to be good quality. The leather is soft, broken in and looks like you've worn it for a couple of years. All in all, I like the hat. Oh, and the cheap-looking and visually distracting Stetson pin removes easily.

The name Stetson speaks for it self. Stetsion is a name that has been known for very high quality for an extremely long time. However some people have been critical of the fact that the hat has no liner. However I personaly do not find that issue. This hat is in fact made of extremely fine quality leather and is very comfortabe to wear. This hat in my opinion is well worth the money and I find pride when I wear it. The hat can be worn in the rain and snow.It is not made for extremly cold weather.I would estimate it can be worn comfortably when the weather is 30F or even lower. I would suggest it would be a good idea to wear ear protection with you during those the lower tempatures

Seems fairly well made, as you'd expect from a Stetson......EXCEPT there was no lining as advertised. Description specifically says "lined" and you would expect this from Stetson. Very disappointing. Also, the leather was very soft, which isn't bad in itself, but this contributed to distortion in the shape of the hat. I will need to stuff with newspaper for a week or so...maybe spray a little moisture on the top, to keep it from looking misshapen since there is a crease in the middle of the leather. Also, I will be contacting Shopping Blitz, who shipped the product, to confirm whether this hat was supposed to be lined. Also, for those of you who are wondering if the brim has snaps....it does not. It is permanently affixed (sewn?)to the cap. Regarding sizing, I usually wear size large (7 3/8)so ordered the "large/xlarge". The fit is 'ok" but fairly snug due to the elastic band in front.

This item is NOT Brown is a butter cream color and rather light like freshly tanned leather. Other than not being the color I wanted it is still a finely crafted Stetson item. However I am still searching for it's brown counterpart and will need to make a second purchase which is unfortunate as this item is the exact style and quality I wanted as well as fit great out of the box. It is also entirely soft leather including the bill which I like. What guy wears cream on his head? No, seriously...

The fit is good. The leather seems to be a good quality and feel. I have owned other Stetson hats before and never did those hats come to me without a liner....What's up with that! The Stetson Brand name bar-tack on the side of the hat seems to have been placed too low so it just sags there and makes the hat look cheep. I bent the tabs and removed it and since it was placed too low, no one will see the two holes that the tack leaves. This is an American made hat......shame on you! Even China hats have liners!

Following a below-the knee amputation of my left leg, I was unable to drive my Matrix stick-shift car. After a. month or two of trying to find an automatic-equipped model, I gave in and bought a cream-puff '06 Mustang convertible with very low miles. I needed a hat (I keep the top down a lot) and looked for a long time until I found the Stetson. It looks good, stays on, fits well and is quite comfortable. Best cap I've owned.

I've tried a lot of caps from different manufacturers in different materials and styles. They're all on my shelf. This one I really like and can't wait for cold weather to come so I can wear it regularly. I did wear one full day recently when it was cold. It fits me perfectly (I'm small-medium) and there was no discomfort from the one-size-fits-all stretch band. It appears to be well made and it looks good.
