Trestle Floor Stand For Flip Loom

Q: What is the height of the stand (from the floor to the pivot point)? I use a chair that is taller than normal and I want to make sure it fits. Thanks!

I believe it will be fine, my chair is a bit taller (but not barstool tall) and it works. I will be around my loom at about 6pm MDT, I will measure and report back.

Q: Does this work for older models

I don't know if it would work for an older model, but based on standard manufacturing practices, it should. If you need specific photos of mine, I can send those.

The Trestle Floor Stand can be used with the Flip Loom and Tapestry Loom, as well as with the original (now discontinued) non-folding rigid heddle loom. To use your stand, slide the loom into the grooves on the tops of the trestle stand legs, attach the adjuster bars, tighten the knobs, and you're ready to weave! When the loom is in the horizontal position, it is at just the right height for use with a standard chair. Q: HI will this loom work for bigger projects such as blankets?

Mine is only 22" max across on the weaving space (24-26"? across total), but it will work for blankets in strips. Just keep track of your weft per inch and pattern, and whipstitch your strips together. If you have a tweed sort of yarn, whipstitching might well blend nicely. I have only used relatively thin warp/weft products, like 8/10 orlon thread, last project on it had no problem on the beams with 72" of material. I'm going to take a wild guess that standard 4 ply yarn would hold that much comfortably, but it might get crowded with much more than that. Hope that helps, I'm delighted with mine!
