Well made bike lock - but won't know how secure until it is broken!
A simple and useful bike lock - can be quickly locked without the key and carried when not in use via the saddle post mount or in your bag (it's quite light weight!)The plastic covered cable is sealed better than most, but at the end of the day will not deter the most determined of thieves. It feels sturdy, but until it is broken I won't know how secure it is. Usually these come with a security raiting/standard so hard to judge just how secure the locks and build of the entire unit is against theft. You get what you pay for I guess!

Good quality secure bike lock
Very solid lock with thick twisted cable housed in a thick plastic sheaf. The seat-post mount is good and the lock clicks securely into place. The 150cm length means you have plenty of options for locking your bike and can be pretty confident it will still be there on your return.

Strong, long reach, a spare key - a high quality cycling essential at a very reasonable price.
Wow! This is a superb bike lock, strong, long enough to be useful even if you can’t get the bike really close to a fixing point and a spare key too. Ideal for any cyclist and a really useful gift for any cycling friends or relations.

Okay lock for daytripping/centreparcs
Unfortunately with bike locks the lighter they are the more easily they can be snapped. This is a relatively light cable lock. Normally if you buy the brand leaders eg kryptonite/New York you would get an indication of the protection the lock would afford. This has no information so it is guess work. Just because this lock does not offer Fort Knox esque security doesn’t mean it is rubbish. If I go out for a family bike ride of where I will not leave my bike in hidden locations then this would be perfect to chain them together. If will delay the determined thief but not for long. Also this could be used in conjunction with a D-lock for locking front wheel/saddle.

Serviceable, everyday cable lock
Serviceable, everyday cable lock for bikes that clips nicely to the bike when not in use. Everything is good quality and robust- firm cable, positive, sturdy lock and keys. If you're locking up your bike for long periods of time in a vulnerable public location you will probably need a higher level of security than this system, but for standard day-to-day use this is more than adequate, and so far appears well-weatherproofed. Well worth a look.

Excellent lock
A generous 1.5 metre cable length, robust lock mechanism, two solid-looking keys and a practical bracket to hold it all. What's not to like? This should be sufficient to deter all but the most determined of bike thieves.Very good product.

Useful lock but how secure it is in anyone's guess
This is a practical bicycle lock. It is key operated, and locks without the key by just snapping shut. The cable is curly, and spirals neatly for compact carrying on the bicycle. The lock comes with a plastic mounting bracket, which is best attached to the saddle post. The lock then clips on and off the bracket. The lock is light-weight, so it’s not awkward to carry. My only concern is its effectiveness as a lock. I trawled the web for half an hour in search of a Provelo website, but found only the corporate brands website for it. I was thus unable to find out what EU or ISO standards this lock complies with. The information with the lock gives no information about this. This makes it impossible to compare with something like a Kryptonite lock, which makes great play about the security standards it reaches. As such, it is difficult to recommend a lock that might, for all I know, break when struck with a mallet or succumb to bold cutters.

This lock is a good length and has some nice features
This lock is a good length and has some nice features; the keys are of the security lock style and also it's a good length. It can be stowed on the bars of the bike via the supplied fitting. I'm not quite sure how solid the wire is but the lock overall seems robust enough to secure the bike. Functional and well made this is a good lock.
