Nikwax DOWN WASH DIRECT 300ml, Technical Cleaner for Down Gear, Cleans Effectively, Enhances Water Repellency and Maintains Insulation, Down Washing Detergent

The product worked really well leaving my jacket nice and clean, I can't say much about proofing but it's fine in spots of rain. Drying the down jacket after was a pain in the neck! If there are big sections of down it's not too bad, but the lightweight thin tubes of down don't spread back out easily even with tennis balls in the dryer. The trick is to dry it in a machine, then air dry for a day or two, then do the machine dryer again and pat clumps vigorously which blows to down back along the tubes.

My downs clothing came out really nice

This is a very good product, its easy to use. The only downside is that there is no or very little scent, I would have expected it to give the down jacket a nice smell but nothing. Had to resort to diluting conditioner in a water spray bottle instead, which works for all clothes

Value for money. Waterproofing. Washability…ease of use, clear instructions given.

Does what it says on the tin

Bought this product to wash a feather and down jacket in need of refreshing and to remove greasy spots off the front and sleeves. Easy enough to use. Non-descript not particularly attractive scent. Pre treated oily spots meticulously but with limited effect. Expensive, limited effectiveness.
