Great Dual Mic System!
Got the PTV-1 Dual Wireless Mic System couple of weeks ago. I'm impressed on how the receiver can handle both mics at the same and how far the clarity of the sound goes. Also works without being in the same room, outside the sanctuary... definitely powerful receiver not limited to line of sight.Very light weight, the receiver and the handheld mic. But also light weight on sound. It's not something I would use for singing, but with a little EQing, it can work. I would definitely use this for outdoor PA for speaking... easily plugged in onto a portable speaker or amplifier. Perfect for that setting as you only need 1 channel for 2 mics. And as always, I like Phenyx Pro's headset mic, it doesn't mangle easily. Yes the receiver box does feel very light and cheap plastic, but it kinda what makes it very portable and easy to carry. I can easily fit the whole system on my bagpack or get a small pouch for the whole thing. For the price and it's portability, I think it's a great buy! Always love their product.

3 stars, maybe 4... now 5 stars.
I struggled between 3 or 4 stars on this. But to be honest, for $70 it is not to bad. There are some short comings for this but what do you expect for this price. The item does feel a little cheap but that did not bother me to much. On the hand held mic you do have to hold it directly towards your mouth for it to pick up your voice. If you hold the mic straight up and talk to the side you pretty much get no sound. When you do it directly from the top the sound is pretty good. Just makes it so you have to pay attention to the orientation. This unit I also got the headset and lapel mike. It sounds pretty good as well. The one significant problem is once you attach the mic to the pack it is almost impossible to remove it. The little button you press to release the mic connector from the belt pack doesn't seem to work very well and you can't hardly remove it. I finally got it disconnected but felt like I was going to break it. Hope this will last. Maybe I recieved a belt pack that has a sticky bad connector. All in all it does work and it works well for $70.Update.. discussed the issues with the manufacturer. They responded in one day and sent a replacement. Definitely a company that cares about service and getting you what you need. Would definitely buy from them again. Again not very expensive and works like a charm.

Works well!
First use. Did a standard a/v job, connected to a Mackie board and C302 Mackie's. Worked as expected.

Simple, Cost Effective, Amateur Equipment
I was sent the PTV-1B to test. I was able to literally take it out of the box and put it to use. I used the included 1/4 in cable to test. I heard some static, but I was holding the handheld mic close to the receiver. It is two channels fixed frequency VHF. The headset microphone and lapel mics seem to be omnidirectional and very sensitive. You may get feedback if you're too close to a speaker. They may also clip if the input is too loud. I didn't notice any issues with sound quality. I recommend the PTV-1B if you need something simple and cost effective. I would not recommend for anyone who has used or is used to professional grade equipment. Good for karaoke, beginners, small family gatherings, presentations, or anything that you would rather not use expensive gear for. Minimal knowledge of microphones and speakers required. The entire system is lightweight.Pros: simple use, plug and play, handheld and body pack included, headset and lapel mics, cost effectiveCons: no mention of polar patterns, plastic components, fixed frequency

Back to the drawing board
Good morning folks. Happy Friday. I was given the opportunity to test the PTV-1 VHF Dual Wireless Microphone System this month. This week I put it thru its paces. I want to start off by saying if you have a small business and need something for your conference room or maybe you're doing a tiny Q&A thing then this would be handy in a snap. The housing on the unit, the mic and the headset/lav are all plastic, but that is to be expected at this price point. However the antenna on the body pack was sturdy compared to the one on the Ptm-10 that seems to just flop over. I liked the feel of the headset mic. The boom on it didn't move even when I shook my head I didn't headbang but I did move it around to see if it would shift at all and it stayed in place pretty much. Unfortunately, I did hook this into my interface and check the audio quality and do a distance test and although the distance wasn't too bad. It did about a B compared to other pro level wireless mics I've tested the audio quality was really bad compared to the PTU-1U that I own and love and use live regularly.. this one was definitely a thumbs down. The quality was muffled and muddy had digital harmonics when tested side by side with my PTU-1U. Its ok for a simple conference room speech but I wouldn't try doing a rehearsal or even a live show with it. Sorry Phenyx Pro.

Best audio product ever!
I’m really impressed with the Phenyx Pro Wireless Microphone System (PTV-1B). The sound quality is clear, and the signal remains strong even from a good distance. Setup was super easy, and I love having the choice between handheld, headset, and lapel mics. The system feels durable, and it’s perfect for performances or events. Plus, using AA batteries makes it convenient for quick swaps during long sessions. Overall, it’s a fantastic wireless mic setup that delivers great value for the price.

Affordable wireless
I purchased this for a wedding that I ran sound for. The officiant requested a lapel mic. For less than what I would have paid for a single transmitter, I got three mics and a dual channel receiver. Happy to report the mics worked well, generally. The lapel had a limited range, so I had to move the receiver close to the user in order to get a clear signal. I own other Phenyx products, the mics in this package seemed a little less high quality than what I’m used to, but they got the job done and now I have an extra weapon in my arsenal. I’m sure they will get more use in the near future.
