I had one of these a while ago. Different brand name but same exact BT speaker. It was great till I lost it. I bought 3 other similar speakers to replace it. None of them had no where near the battery life, the usb port seperated from the circuit board on another one and they all did not sound nearly as good as this one here. Get it!

This is a great cheap speaker. We bought it for a beach vacation and worked well for what it is. Surprisingly long battery life and the water and sand didn't destroy it.

I've had one of these for years, this one is the same impressive big sound in a little speaker. Great battery life, great sound and impressive bass for its size. Haven't needed to test waterproofing. Best bang for the buck of any little BT speaker I've ever had

Works good until now

"This is not so much a review of this product as it is a letter of instructions for Iphone 6s owners and possibly other Iphone models. I discovered a very glaring omission from this products instruction manual (which is very brief) and also from the Gembonics web site in failing to detail this little tidbit of needed knowledge. If you expect to be able to communicate with this device using an Iphone 6s you need to go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/ACCESSIBILITY/CALL AUTO ROUTING and then touch “BLUETOOTH HEADSET” or you will not be able to use this device to hear or speak, and you may not be able to speak to the party you called on the cellphone (my case) “after the device has been disconnected”. I didn't know this, never thought I would have to change anything in “ACCESSIBILITY” to make a Bluetooth device work. Any way, before discovering this “setting” I had it packed up to return to Amazon. Giving it one more try I surfed to Apple and that's where I discovered the above. If I was Gembonics I would make this known on their instruction manual as I am very sure many of these devices have been returned for THE “NOT WORKING” reason when they attempt to return this device. Other than the above problem this device charged fully in about 90 minutes. It turned on properly (you have to hold down the power button until it starts up, and then “paired” quickly with my Iphone 6s (Bluetooth must of course be turned on). It appears well made, good quality case, real screws, not rivets, strap looks rugged enough for average use. I hope this musing helps some Iphone user in the future. Total lost time was about four hours in solving this problem.UPDATE 7FEB2020 - This device has been good but lately it has started dialing out on its own to random address book numbers in my Apple IPhone 6 s after you disconnect from a phone call. I am still going to keep this device as it works for everything else.

I loved the fact that is was strong enough for my two year old and has held up for 2 years with his abuse. This is a second one for us I was so impressed by how durable these is. For sound quality its not a $300 speaker but its perfect for us.

I own multiple Bluetooth speakers from big soundbars and shower speakers. The last waterproof small speaker I owned had crap battery life and the sound was average plus it died after a few months. This purchase has really exceeded all expectations. This little speaker has big sound on both sides, pairs effortlessly, it's rugged, sand proof and the battery is flat out impressive. I throw this in our beach bag (it's got sand in the bag lol) and I turn it on when we get all set up at the beach. It pairs with my Samsung S7 and sounds great for the two of us but somehow doesn't bother people that are 12' away. Big surprise that my phone loses it full charge but the speaker still goes strong. I have played music steadily for 6 hours and this unit keeps going so don't know how long it would keep going. I'm ordering a few more of these puppies because I'm newly retired and I want this to be my beaching, fishing, hiking, firepitting just hanging out speaker from now on.Note: This is NOT a big party speaker, I have much bigger Bluetooth units for that because it's not super loud and can't be paired with other units however, for all the used stated above, it's actually perfect for enjoying music, podcasts or audiobooks,.
