Dial / analogue stick on Window thermometer - read outside temperature from inside house -60 to +120 Fahrenheit and -50 to +50 Centigrade

I previously reviewed this item and gave it only 3 stars, primarily because I did not have the information that the temperature pointer is actually adjustable. The supplier has now (a) confirmed that adjustment is provided for and (b) that a note to this effect and how to adjust will be added to the item in future. Thermometers that can be stuck onto the outside of glass windows will always pick up a change of temperature from the inner side of the window and thus be showing (usually) an elevated reading, but with the facility to adjust the pointer, a reasonably accure temperature reading can be obtained, thus this item is an great improvement on the electronic type with LCD readings displayed which are not actually adjustable to cater for heat transfer effect through the glass, and are therefore inherantly inaccurate. Final verdict " inexpensive item, great performance !

The temperature given on this were inaccurate all during the heat wave when I wanted to know the difference between inside and outside. i checked them against a top quality hand held thermometer. \The first heavy rain and it fell off the window! I thought as it was cheap I'd give it a go - it was a total waste of money, i would have done better to put the money towards a better one.

Works fine, gives a good general idea of the temperature. (Seems to be within a few degrees, which is all we wanted this for.) The "stickum" on the pads works well, have had no problems with it adhering to the window even after we had to move it from the originally placed glass (which was in the sun) to a perpetually shaded spot. Has a small opening below that allows one to attach a small string or thread as a safety line, so you can keep it from falling several stories to the ground if the adhesive fails.

This is an good thermometer. It is clear and easy to read with Centigrade and Fahrenheit readings. Know just what the outside temperature is -excellent.

Poor adhesion

Oh dear, I think I got a Friday one. It read zero when it arrived, and has unremittingly read zero ever since, through some of the coldest nights on record. I realised that some other reviewers had had the same experience, but was just hoping to be lucky at that price. Not worth the bother of sending it back. And I was going to mark it down from the start, because I found it impossible to remove the backing from the sticky pads without removing a portion of the pads too (not to mention portions of my finger nails while trying).A few days later: it has started to move now, and appears to be giving much the right reading (-3!). But why did it take so long to get going? When the weather warms up, I will see if it continues to improve.
