Perfect for my use…
I have a Canon 90D, but wanted something that would travel much easier on trips. This is perfect for that and I just couldn’t say no to the price with the two lenses ($599).Neither of the two frequent critiques one might come across - fixed and non-touch screen - really matter to me. I am also using it primarily for street photography and not wildlife or sports. Again, I wanted something I could put into a backpack and travel with easily when I venture into NYC or fly, was reasonably priced, and takes solid pictures. This was perfect for me.

Camera for beginners
I bought this camera as a gift for my niece. It is a basic no frills mirrorless camera that should be easy for beginners to learn on. It takes excellent pictures, same as the more expensive Canon mirrorless cameras (I have the Canon R8 for comparison). It has all the manual setting options. To use lens autofocus you need to go into the camera menu and set the autofocus for each camera photo setting (I.e. Manual, auto program, portrait, Landscape, etc). , if you use the manual settings be aware that the lenses revert to manual focus only. If you are new to photography and looking for a starter camera, this is a great start. The camera takes excellent pictures and the lenses are a great buy.

Garbage sensors,
Low end chips in a fancy body and deceptive marketing. This camera uses extremely old censors and is basically useless for recording video. Wish I figured that out before my return window closed. Now I'm stuck with an expensive paper weight.This camera shouldn't even be sold. Do your research and get the R50 or another Sony that doesn't falsely advertise their products capabilities.

It’s a great entry level camera! It’s lightweight and takes amazing photos. I know if I got better lenses it will be even better. The kit lenses aren’t too bad either that came with it.I caught the camera on 40% off and with payment plan so I would aim for that so you get the better deal. I think it’s a nice 500$ deal not almost 900$ lol
