This is a stainless steel GR rod for a Walther Creed made out of 304 stainless steel. The rod is made of only the finest stainless steel material to replace the plastic factory rod. Our rods are measured to factory specification and we ensure the finest fit and finish on all of our parts.

Upgrading your gun's plastic parts
The CZ 75 Compact comes with a plastic guide rod. Not sure why. Maybe it's weight? Maybe it's cost? Dunno.. but I'm sure the plastic guide rods are fine. In any event, I'm not comfortable with such a flexible device that is meant to control the semi-auto action of the slide and just personally feel more comfortable with a metal rod like those used in Sigs. The steel rod doesn't add noticeably much to the weight of an already heavy gun but it sure adds a more solid feeling that it will do its job.

so far so good. it doesn’t add much weight to the gun ...
so far so good. it doesn’t add much weight to the gun which is great because it weighs enough as it is. the real test will be time. the standard guide rod is plastic and starts to deform after a while. this is the reason i changed over to a steel guide rod. gun works flawlessly so far.
