This is a superb thriller
“The Housemaid’s Secret” by Freida McFadden is a superb book. It is a continuation of her prior thriller “The Housemaid.” Readers who missed the preceding volume will still enjoy this one, even if they haven't read it. Anything that they need to know is told in this tale. This thriller is about a poor woman with a history of ten years in jail for a murder she did not commit. She did kill a man, but it was self-defense. The man was threatening to kill a woman he had been abusing. The jury at her trial did not believe the truth. As a result, she had difficulty finding a job as an ex-con. She worked as a maid. But on the side, he helped many abused women and got a reputation among those whom she helped. She receives a call from a wealthy man to come work at his penthouse. He told her his wife is very ill and she should not try to speak to her. When she sees blood on the floor, she approaches the woman, who tells her she has been brutalized repeatedly by her husband. She decides to help. However, as in all Freida McFadden thrillers, what appears to be true is not necessarily true; good people may be bad, and bad people may be good. There are always twists and turns in the thriller, with plenty of red herrings. Readers will enjoy this book.

Good book!
Good thriller! It had a great plot twist but I felt the ending was a bit flat. For me the book was intriguing and surprising like the first one, but I had more expectations of a twisty or more exciting ending. Some characters were also a bit blah like Brock, he really didn't do anything for me.Overall, I do prefer The Housemaid. I think it was a better story as a whole, but this is still a good read!

Gripping, Twisted, and Utterly Addictive!
The Housemaid’s Secret was everything I hoped for and more. Freida McFadden knows exactly how to keep you on the edge of your seat — just when I thought I had it figured out, the story flipped in a completely unexpected direction.Millie’s return is both thrilling and emotional. Watching her navigate another high-stakes, dangerous situation had me flying through the pages. The suspense built perfectly, and I couldn’t stop reading until I hit the last sentence — and what an ending! This sequel somehow manages to top the first book. It’s fast-paced, clever, and filled with just the right amount of psychological tension and shocking twists. If you’re a fan of dark domestic thrillers, this is a must-read. I'm already about to start The Housemaid is Watching!

Oh my goodness what an AMAZING twisted read!
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better than the first Housemaid book, I read this, and legit could not put it down, not even to cook dinner. There were so many twists throughout the book, but that ENDING?!! Incredible. Seriously, every time I thought I had it figured out throughout this book, Freida proved me wrong. This was an incredible read, I loved it and enjoyed it throughout.

Justice for Brock
Kinda weird how all the sudden she was mad at Brock when she lied the entire relationship and was like damn he’s not here for me when I need him the most??This was a decent read I liked it but her and Brock was a waste of story line and Enzo coming back randomly and them being in love was weird too but whatever lol still enjoyed

Shocking
These books really keep me on my toes. I can't put them down. Millie's character is so good and her heart is so pure even if she is sometimes pegged as the bad guy. I can't wait to see what happens for her next. Highly recommend this book if you like to be kept on the edge of your seat.

THE PLOT TWIST WAS INSANE 😳🖤✨
10000/10 !!!! Book two was really good! It was such a good page turner. It was so hard to put this book down. I would start taking notes so I can solve it but I still end up being wrong. I’m definitely going to read more Freida books.
