The person detection is accurate — only occasionally does it misfire on shadows, but this happens very rarely. Useful Modes The app offers flexible settings to suit different situations: a Silent Mode (no notifications), an At-Home Mode (pauses recording when you’re home), and an Away Mode (full recording and alerts enabled). Setup is straightforward and the modes work reliably. Pro Tip – Mount it Upside Down! You get significantly better coverage when the camera is fitted upside down. Highly recommend trying this positioning. I also picked up a self-adhesive mount online that fits this camera perfectly — great affordable add-on. After-Sales Service – Impressive My camera stopped connecting after 6 months. I raised a warranty claim with the Philips team via WhatsApp — real human agents responded promptly (no AI bots!). Within 2 days, a technician visited and replaced the unit on the spot, no questions asked. Apparently a software update had affected a few devices. Can’t fault the service at all. One Drawback – No Cloud Storage Philips has discontinued cloud storage support (reportedly due to government regulations on CCTV cameras), so you’ll need a micro SD card for local storage. Keeping Philips in mind and for their expertise in “ home electricals including lighting “ , went ahead with Philips model in Nov’23 . My feedback based on last one month ( including monitoring when out of station ) . Excellent build quality . Very easy to install . Option to use up to 128 GB Micro SD card and when card is full , it will automatically erase initial data . Everything can be controlled on Philips Home Safety App and it comes with Four different modes to use ( Two of them are repetitive ) . You can install app on multiple devices and monitor ( I think till 20 devices ) and of course , all devices to be connected to same Wifi as Camera . Quality of video is amazing and IR is there for night vision . Camera being 360 degree , will give wide angle view . Audio is Two Way and crystal clear . All features like alarm , motion sensor , person detection are good . Its peace of mind when I went out station and able to view my house all the time .

Update on 12/01/2026:- Finally the camera stopped responding. No matter how much I try (reboot/switch off and on) it couldn't be connected anymore you can see In the 3rd photo. After reboot or switch off and on it will be connected hardly for 10 Seconds and get disconnected. I really regret the time when I decided to buy this philips camera. Since beginning it tortured me as much as it could. Update: 06/01/2025:- Taking one more star from my rating as Philips couldn't solve my issue related to reference No. 3038675. Now they're not attending or replying my WhatsApp calls & messages. Now, since October 2024 they are just responding to my emails that to after 20 or 30 days. After one month they appear just to inform me that Philips technical team is working on my issue and they will inform me when their technical team finds solution of my issue. Today I sent them a reminder as they didn't replied my email which was sent to them on December 2024. Updated: 19-12-2024: My request (reference number: 3038675) is pending since 03-10-2024 with Philips. After I unsubscribed the cloud storage the camera keeps me on asking to format my card but every time I try to format the card it ask me to try later. Is it some kind of tactics Philips is playing so that I re-subscribe the cloud storage. 1st solve my above mentioned request (reference number: 3038675) which is kept unresolved since the month of October 2024 then only I'll think for re-subscribing Pros: 1. Good video and audio quality. Cons: 1. Motion tracking in pan direction only. 2. System ask you to format SD card 2 to 3 times in a week. And now suddenly it shows that no SD card is detected. 3. It doesn't delete older recordings and store latest recordings as claimed by the Philips. Instead it will ask you to format the SD card when your card is full. And if you don't format SD Card to save the footages the system will stop detecting your SD card. I tried to protect the footages by with and without encrypting the SD card but the result is same you will have to format SD card otherwise you can't record new footage and in addition you cannot view older footages too in the app. 4. You can't watch anything recorded in SD card in laptop/desktop etc. even when the enscription option for SD card is off. 5. After sale service is very pooooooooorrrrr. They ask for your home id, email ID, model number etc. etc and suddenly they disappear and don't respond you. 8. I rejected other camera and chose Philips as I trusted the brand. But it was my mistake and if you want to repeat my mistake then buy Philips security camera and I assure you that next time you will copy-paste my review.

Review 1: 29 Sep 24 Today I received the product. Packaging and items inside were intact and well kept. Installation was super easy. It's like a plug and play device. I had to download the Philips home security app and after signup, it was smooth process to follow. Device upon switching on, got detected in the app and connection with my home wifi was in seconds. Video quality is very good, met my expectations. Movement detection Sensors working good. You can use Li e Monitoring on your app even without MicroSD card. However, I recommend using a SD card. It supoorts 128 GB. You also have option to subscribe to the premium plan where your video feed will be stored online in Philips cloud and accessible for last 14 days. I'll update the review after few months of usage.

Average. Pros: 1. Great quality camera, records in high definition video. 2. Detects movement and notifies you 3. Provides cloud storage (paid) but it is effective. 4. Good connectivity, never faced any connectivity issue. Was easy to install and setup with help of an urban company professional. Cons: 1. Movement detection is very haphazard. It is not smooth, camera moves constantly once movement is detected and then the recording is also haphazard. 2. Recordings are short and inaccurate. It only records a few seconds once movement is detected, so sometimes you cannot observe what is happening after that. 3. It notifies movement even of small dust particles that come in front of the camera during the night, which gives false notifications and can be annoying. 4. Features like “pet” and classification of type of movement don’t work. 5. App is very slow. when I get a notification and I try to open it, it takes at least 30 seconds to finally get to see the recording, and even if I try to switch to live video it takes time to load the screen.
