The ESD foot strap heel grounder provides quick and effective way of discharging the electrostatic build up during normal walking or standing activities in the lab or manufacturing environment. This ESD foot strap is meant to connect the person wearing them to ground via a proper floor mat or flooring material. The foot strap is made of non marking durable rubber with 18" ribbon with buried 1M ohm resistor. The nylon ribbon should make contact with skin or at minimum, with the sweaty moisture in your shoe in order to provide a closed path to ground for proper draining of the static electricity. As a bonus the ESD foot strap comes with blue ESD wrist strap that can be connected via 6ft cord to a ESD mat that is properly grounded. This wrist strap also includes a alligator clip that can easily be connected to a grounding chassis or computer case.

these are what I needed at work, walking on concrete all day and working around machinery caused a lot of friction and those nasty little jolts, with these, no more shocks, I would buy them again.

Tired of getting zapped?
We live in a very dry place with low humidity. Depending on the shoes, you can build up a big static charge off of wool rugs and such. I got tired of getting zapped every time I touched a wall switch or the refrigerator. I used these at work to prevent static around electronics. This strap works great, grounds me so no more zapping.
