Great
This water filter jug makes drinking water clean, fresh, and great-tasting. The filter effectively removes impurities, chlorine, and odors, improving the quality of tap water. The jug is easy to fill, pour, and store in the fridge, and the design is user-friendly and compact. The filter lasts for a reasonable period before needing replacement, making it convenient and cost-effective. Overall, it’s a practical and reliable way to enjoy safe, filtered water at home.

It’s the future of filtered water
Game changer in areas where the water quality is perhaps unknown, not great or in my case, I want a purer water in my coffee maker. No scum or any bad taste with the filtered water and saves a small fortune against bottled water. And much more ‘green’ for the environment. Fits in my fridge door. Love it

Good water taste
The Brita water jug and filters is a good value for money buy. The water taste is very good and each filter lasts for a month with a built in display to remind you. The jug is easy to handle and use. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend.

It’s great, but ignore the timer
This is probably my 4th Britta filter. Second one with the timer. The jug itself is sturdy and really convenient shape for the fridge shelf, easy to refill. The filters are always great and with this set you get extra ones which do go a mile. It was actually the same price to buy a new jug with 6 refills than just buy the refills themselves. The filters as always are great, makes the water taste fresh and crisp. The only thing that really annoys me is the timer as it absolutely measures nothing. I’m sure there’s just some rudimentary timer inside that says every 30 days change the filter, even if you were not using it. So I completely ignore and find it quite gimmicky.

Water tastes Great now
Water tastes so much better now. I live in hard water area so didn’t drink as much water as I should. Easy to use and 6 filter cartridges so set up for a long time. Stores easily in fridge, filters quickly and no drips from lid. Very happy with it. Recommend

top jug
I have had many filter jugs over the years and this is the best of them so far. First it is light and slim enough to fit my fridge door. Secondly the water that is filtered tastes sooo much better than previous jugs. Good quality , light and sturdy and good value for the price. Would recommend .

Brita Marella water filter jug - better results than I expected
I was surprised by the size of the box this item came delivered in, it was much larger than expected and the contents, very well packaged for transit, were a tight fit. I have used fridge jugs in the past but, honestly, I wasn't expecting something of this size. It is designed to fit inside a fridge door but it does take up a lot of space and so there isn't much room for anything else other than a small bottle of milk. Perhaps people with large fridges wouldn't have that issue. There is an instruction leaflet but, as with most similar, it is very disappointing and has been printed in a tiny font size that isn't the easiest to read. Even worse, the set-up instructions (with sketches) included a section that is not appropriate for this jug. At first, I thought a part was missing until I realised it didn't apply to this jug. Once I had "solved" the set-up, the rest was simple. Take out the central section of the jug, fill with water from the tap, submerge one of the filters and give it a good shake until no bubbles appear, repeat. Replace the central section and push the filter down into place, fill the top section with tap water (note, it has to be tap water, not bottled spring water), and the filtering process begins immediately. Note, and as the instructions point out (when you can read them), there is no need to waste the two fills of water used when setting up/cleaning the jug before first use. Pour it into a container and use it for watering plants. With the water filtering being so quick, I was able to take a taste and, I have to admit, it was so different from tasting normal tap water. Smooth, clean-tasting, refreshing - and that was at room temperature. I tasted again a while later after the jug had been placed in the fridge and it was even more refreshing being chilled. This is a very large just and most of the space is taken up by the filtering section but, because the water filters through so quickly, I don't see much wrong with that and it can easily be refilled. Refilling is via a lift-up cap on the top and, sensibly there is also a cover over the spout that you do not need to lift up since it raises itself when the filtered water is poured. One filter is said to handle around 150l of tap water, I believe estimated to be a month's usage, but naturally that will depend on how much filtered water you drink. I did a little research online and found that it was quite acceptable to pour the filtered water into a water bottle - including copper water bottles to gain a little added benefit from copper filtration - and then refill the jug to filter the next batch needed. That is a big help since you can ensure you always have fresh, filtered water on hand to drink. The jug size is very large and it is a little top heavy because of the design. I found I needed two hands to remove it from and replace it in the fridge but, other than that, with such a large handle design I found it easy to pour. Water taste was excellent, I did try filtered water in the kettle to make a tea and a coffee but I didn't notice any difference in taste with those but, since the water had been fully filtered, it was clearly a better quality than using straight tap water. This is an expensive item - although buying the model that has 6 maxtra pro filters is definitely better value and is clearly worth spending a few extra pounds at the outset. I will say that this is now going to replace my purchasing of spring water in plastic bottles and that was the main reason for my ordering this product. Why did I choose Brita? Because I read a number of independent reviews and all placed the Brita brand at the top of their choices. I will certainly recommend this product. It is a bit of a faff for the first few minutes of setting up but after that there is very little to do other than refill with tap water - note, as I've said, it must be municipal tap water you place in this jug, don't put in your spring water. Amazon also has an excellent range of stainless steel water bottles available at good prices and I would suggest you also consider buying one of those, especially if you normally take bottled water out of doors with you. Finally, no need to carry home hugely heavy packs of bottled water and have to use endless amounts of plastic - indeed, for me this product means I will not be using around 30 plastic bottles a month and that is worth thinking about. As for cost, this pays for itself within 4 or 5 months in my case, and the packs of filters are not expensive at all. Do yourself and the environment a huge favour and invest in this filter jug.

Works like it should
All is good, water doesn’t taste as nice as from big bottle water resellers but it works for me (I’m in Dubai). One out of 6 filters came broken, I only realized it now when I was about to change the filter for the first time but I can’t ask for a partial refund anymore. Check all the filters right when you receive them.

A must have if you don't own an RO system
A very well though out design for the fridge and kitchen. The 2.4 litre jug, unlike the large sibling, has a narrow form factor so it can fit easily in the fridge and occupies minimal counterspace. I looked at many reviews on YouTube and other sources before making the decision to get this brand. We have very hard chlorinated water and this filter takes all the bad taste away. I an now upgrading to a reverse osmosis system yet will still use this jug to water my plants. There are some minor cons which applies to most jugs: - The quoted 2.4 litre is total volume, where half of the water is actually filtered - The usage indicator will go to zero even if the jug is not used for 4 weeks. I would recommend a TDS meter to monitor degradation of filtered water Top quality from a top brand. Should you have any questions please let me know. Cheers
