Mounting screw too short
It's nice and sturdy and you can adjust the stiffness of the hinges.I wanted to use it with my focusing rail for macro work but the 1/4in screw on the Z thing that screws into the focusing rail (otherwise the camera) is too short. It only protrudes 2mm or maybe less and the screw threads into which it is supposed to go are a bit farther away.This also means that even with a camera whose tripod socket starts immediately it wouldn't screw in very far, leaving the mounting somewhat incsecure.In the photos the stand is turned so that the screw pokes out as far as possible by gravity. You can probably see the rubber strips whose thickness makes the problem worse.I also tried another brand (Harwerrel) and it was identical in all respects, at the same price.
