You can't go wrong with this awl
Very nice awl for book binding, very reasonable price too. The tool is traditional looking and very effective - sharp and great for making holes in paper. It also comes with a bit of safety plastic on the end, which is thoughtful. The service you get from the Vintage Paper Company is impressive. First time ordering from them, will definitely come back. Very good quality awl
I have used cheap craft awl the tip kept bending. Buy this one makes a huge difference good for piercing holes in multiple layers of paper. Essential tool for bookbinding.Not effective on leather I suspect I would have better luck with a diamond tip awl.

A good piece of equipment.
Very useful - good size, fits neatly into the hand. As the handle is smooth it's very comfortable to use.It has replaced the ridged handle one I had.

Ideal for stitching leather.
Perfect tool for when I am stitching leather.Aligns the punched holes perfectly for the needle to easily go through the holes, pulling the thread nicely through as well.

Conforme à mes attentes
Produit qui convient très bien pour de la reliure de feuilles. Après avoir prit le coup de main pour poincer ! Les premiers temps on peut y aller un peu trop fort et créer des trous trop larges pour le fil... mais ça passe vite :).Le manche est pratique (peut-être que pour des grandes mains, il sera un peu petit...à voir) et le tout à l'air de qualité ! Contente de mon achat.

Wo ist meine andere Rezension hin. Nun soll ich also nochmal eine schreiben? Was soll ich sagen. Dasselbe wie bei meiner Rezension vor einer Woche. Der Metallring halt nicht am Holz, der sollte verändert werden. Er verrichtet seine Arbeit. Vielen Dank.

Rien de spécial à dire. C'est un outil pratique simple et robuste. Convient parfaitement pour le brochage des cahiers de livres neufs ou à restaurer.

Ich brauchte etwas, um meine beglaubigten Dokumente zu binden und zwar so, dass man sie nicht auseinandernehmen kann, ohne Spuren zu hinterlassen. Es klappt nichts so richtig, auch die Ahle nicht, die auf der Rückseite unschöne Spuren hinterlässt. Vielleicht lerne ich es noch, sie so zu benutzen, dass es einfach ein schönes kleines Loch ergibt.
