I found that the power cable works, but there is a time delay when turning on the FireTV stick. when I hooked the USB cable to the TV's USB. When I used the original power cord, there is a noticeable difference in the startup of the FireTV stick to the main menu. If you can live with the delay, then this can work for you. For me- it's in a drawer

My Firestick was was staying physically hot all the time. It was cutting in and out saying no signal while at the same time displaying it was connected. I was so frustrated and ready to move on to a better way. Turns out the better way is this little cable. The Firestick boots up every time you turn on the TV; otherwise it is "powered off" just like the TV.

I install the power cable on my Amazon firestick. When I turn on my television I get this message that the "USB cable was removed". Why is that? I inserted it in the correct ports.

This item works perfectly with the 4k fire tv. I have even realized that by using this cord the 4k fire tv device does not get as hot as it did with the ac adapter plugged into it. Worth buying and trusting this device.

With my new tv purchase I was shooting for a neat installation I have even used a cable organizer receptical. This usb power keeps your dongle and the power cord in the little space where the inputs are.

The media could not be loaded.  The cable works great and eliminates the need for a power outlet! I was a little skeptical at first as I'm not "technology savy" but the setup was simple and performed as promised. I would definitely recommend

I thought it might not work at first because other firestick cable reviews in amazon says they do not work. Still gave it a try since price isn’t bad anyway. It works!
