About the Author Author DeEtte Beckstead started writing in 2007 after her son challenged her to try NaNoWriMo. The manuscript sat untouched with several others until January 2012 when her good friend encouraged her to seek publication. The Christmas Visitors is her first short story, and Victory is her first novel for all readers to enjoy. DeEtte spent her childhood in Utah where she was active in Girl Scouts, played piano, clarinet, and guitar, reading, and working with children. She was a member of the University of Utah Synchronized Swimming team while in college. She has taught many outdoor skills including winter (snow) survival and advanced camping. She has spent many years working with people with disabilities and has been involved in dog rescue. She now lives in Florida where she writes and does editing, as well as working with the homeless population in her city. Her other interests include crocheting, reading, history, and her grandchildren. Read more
