Review: Fun read - This is well worth reading if you've read the first two books in the series. In fact i prefer this one to the second one, Toujours Provence, which i found a bit boring as it seemed to be re-capping "A year in Provence". This one is more exciting as it's about Peter Mayle's return to Provence after 4 years in America. I recommend it! Review: Pure escapism ,takes you away from the stresses of life - I have read all of Peter Mayles books and this one does not disappoint .If you love France you will love this book

A book to take you away from lockdown
Great book I have gone on to read the other books Peter has written about life in Provence. He really captured his life and it really makes me want to pack my bags and go and live there.

Hard to give this book a title it is hardly worth readin
I chose this rating because I was very disapointed in this book, thought it would be as good as A Year in Provence, this is just not worthy writing by this author, its just hoping previous work will sell this one. Maybe next time Peter Mayle will write a book full of humour as his earlier books.

An enjoyable 3 hour read, good for summer days and holiday down time.
More of the same from Peter Mayle, an enjoyable and gentle ramble through the peculiarities of rural France.Worth taking on Holiday or sunny afternoons with a nice drink. Not as good as A year In Provence or Toujours Provence; but if you have read them to death and want more that is similar but new(Ish) its worth a go.

Very good book. It reminded me of my holidays. Everybody is friendly and hppy - but of cause we do not live there day by day, so there will be a "dark" and dull side even in this sunlit part of the south.

Maybe not quite as perfect as the other Provence books, but he really just kept on writing amazingly until the very end. Vale Peter Mayle.

Peter Mayle is one of the most delightful readers I have come across in a long time. He not only tells a story but includes you in every aspect of life in Provence. I have read several of his books and look forward to catching up on the stories I have not yet encountered. By the time you are done reading this and the others he has written about life in Provence, you are either mentally living there or cannot wait to physically get there....bravo Peter Mayle. You bring a smile to my face with every page!
