Mr Kipling Cakes - Cherry Bakewells - 6 Pack

I have always wanted to try these and was not disappointed when I finally did. They were soft and fresh with a delicate almond flavor. They arrived as described and on time. They are pricey but a delightful treat for an American wanting to enjoy a taste of the UK.

These are seriously some of the best little cakes I've ever tried. They are on the smaller side and they are pricey, but honestly, I kind of think they're worth it. They use good, real ingredients, and there's a good bit of fat and sugar in each one so their size makes sense. Some people forget what portions sizes are for and how they work. Honestly though, the texture was amazing! When I read the macros on the box I was worried they would be "too much", but they aren't, they're perfect lol. Flaky crust, soft center with a bite and that cherry.. Oh that cherry is good... Will buy again I know it, but not many, because they are so good, I ate the whole box in 2 days and Ill get fat like that, so honestly, I'm glad they're pricey. Makes you really consider how you spend your money on food products and how you value them.

OMG, where to begin. I’ve never left a negative review before, but these horrid little tartlets simply demanded it. If I could have left zero stars, I would have. Or negative! First, an embarrassing disclaimer: I’d never heard of Cherry Bakewell tarts until I read in an interview of my favorite English music star saying how he loved the things. Lesson learned: never trust a Brit rock star in matters of the palate, no matter how talented and sexy he may be. So, why do I hate these things? 1) They are tasteless, but sickeningly sweet. 2) The pie crust base crumbles like sand and tastes like it, too. 3) The fillings - a thin layer of allegedly almond-flavor fondant and a swipe of purple jam - are meager at best and again, off-the-charts sweet. I ate one and dumped the other five. At about 15 bucks for six small tarts, a good value they’re not. Even had they been tasty, they are pricey. I know there are several brands of them here on Amazon, but I’m tellin’ ya, there are hundreds of other better sweet treats here to blow your snack dollars on. (A particularly luscious one is Tara’s All Natural Gourmet Sea Salt Caramels.) These are a gastronomic abomination, an embarrassment to Queen and country. I still love you, Terry, but you’re waaay off on the Cherry Bakewells!

Tasted okay but each tart was hard and didn't look quite right.

This part pie, part cake is so good, so delicious, even better than anyone could have imagined. I love ❤️ these. A tender crust and every thing else make a great little treat. I have shared these with a friend and she enjoyed these as well. Very attractive, the cherry comes right off along with the fondant with the first bite. Yummy 🤤. Perfect size, nice and fresh.

These are a perfect size for an afternoon treat or for a dessert topped with thick cream , ice cream or custard. .

Ich habe die zubereitung dieser küchlein beim tv gesehen in einer Doku: Inside the Factory. Da diese mich überzeugt hat habe ich mir sie bei Amazon bestellt. Superschnelle Lieferung und gut verpackt. Das Produkt ist unsagbar lecker... werde wieder bestellen sobald verfügbar. Absolut empfehlenswert für Leckermäulchen

I love these! I find them best chilled, as opposed to room temp. The crust tastes very strongly of vegetable shortening, but less so, when chilled. I would love if they came in bigger boxes - but packs of 6 is best for my waistline! Quite pricey (I think I paid around $20cdn), but they are imported and it's still reasonable enough. I would buy these again.

Einfach lecker ...habe sie als Kind schon geliebt. Jetzt in Deutschland lebend muss ich nicht drauf verzichten. Lieferung kam echt schnell ...super Service. Und noch 3 Wochen haltbar ...solange leben die eh nicht ....echt klasse
