War Eagle Mill Buckwheat Flour, Organic and non-GMO (2 lbs)

When I received this flour, I made some buckwheat pancakes with buttermilk and my family decided they were the best they ever ate. This flour is a nice fine grind, with a fresh taste that is unbeatable. Being both organic and non-GMO makes it ever more attractive. The bak is easy to open and re-close to retain freshness.

When I received my Buckwheat flour it was already expired so I decided to send an email directly to the company, War Eagle Mill, they were not happy. They were glad that I contacted them to let them know. They sent me a new bag of Buckwheat flour within a few days of talking to them. They are a stand up company. I will do business directly from their website. I wish I would have went to their website in the first place. If you are thinking about ordering this product, you should it is good stuff. You will not be disappointed.

None of the nasty reviews of the other brands. One of the big box stores has a great personal What story/review of visiting their operation. Look forward to Amazon carrying it at a competitive rate and consistently. Ratings site confirms real reviews. I trust this product for now.

I used this buckwheat flour with another gluten free flour. Cassava flour made by Otto's Naturals. To a recipe 1 cup cassava flour and 1/2 cup cup Buckwheat, plus other ingredients. I fry the batter with unrefined coconut oil on a nonstick griddle. Keep the heat at a lower temp. I make 3 inch pancakes. Gluten free pancakes are Yummy. Even My husband enjoys them and He is not gluten free. They fill the tummy along with bacon and/or eggs.

We loved this great option instead of wheat. We’ve visited this actual mill often. Thank you Amazon! We moved away but this brings back the creek, the geese and the wooden mill at War Eagle bridge. A buckwheat waffle is satisfying and will stick with you for hours. Through the years, our kids sent us the War Eagle gift packs as fond memories.

This is the first time for me using buckwheat flour in my sourdough wheat-rye bread and I don’t really know how it supposed to look like. In my opinion it looks a bit dark, otherwise it’s great. Pleasant nutty taste.

I like to keep buckwheat flour in my pantry all the time because my hubby makes the BEST buckwheat pancakes. (He created his own recipe.) While all buckwheat flour is expensive, I think War Eagle Mill offers a fairly good price for their excellent product quality.
