HYEJDRV Heavy Duty 500LBs Office Chair Tilt Control Mechanism Replacement is seriously heavy duty. The metal was the thickest I've ever seen on an office chair mechanism and it was a perfect fit. I placed it on an old office chair from the 1990's without any issues. This is a great value for the price.

Very good . Heavy and strong. Tilt adjustment works very smoothly and easily with a large range of adjustment. Wife was able to get the spring adjusted so she could tilt her office chair back to suit her. Highly recommended.

Better build quality of the one I repaced and that was a $250 chair. Bought for the hole pattern which is actually correct. Glad I made this choice!

I bought my office chair at Sam's Club in 2018 for $213.98 tax included. The chair base was squeaking and one day it started leaning more than usual. Upon inspecting it I found several really long cracks in the base plate. So I went searching for a new chair and could not find what I wanted at a decent price. I found this base rated for 500 lbs though my old chair was only rated for 350 lbs. The four mounting holes on my chair matched this plate so I made the purchase. I wouldn't say this was necessarily an easy replacement mainly due to the troubles I had with removing the old piston from the cracked base. I ended up having to use a grinder and hacksaw to finally expose the end of the piston so I could pound it out using a deep well socket and a hammer. There may have been an easier way to do this so check Youtube. I just did not know what old parts were needed for the final fix. Not sure why La-Z-Boy used all those cables when this simple design handles it all. If you don't want to deal with removing the piston my suggestion is to purchase a new one. However you will still have to get the old piston out of the swivel wheel base. My chair no longer squeaks! The single lever activates both the piston and locks or unlocks the seat back. The chair feels way more solid. This chair was suppose to have a 10 year warranty but this repair was far easier to deal with in my opinion and it's way sturdier than the original base.

It's very good. Easy to work with. My one minor issue is it does not tilt back far enough for my comfort. Still , it is very good.

This item is as described. It is definitely an upgrade from the original tilt swivel mechanism which had a weld seam failure. It meets the specs described. Item does not come with screws, so save your old ones to install.

The thickness of the metal is greater than the previous one that I had, this makes it stronger and more durable

Being a lardar$e I go through these chair bases in a couple of years. They normally end up splitting with metal fatigue. This one looks a lot tougher though, so I have high hopes.

As a big guy it was really reassuring to see how thick the steel was in this chair base and it was way cheaper than replacing the whole chair
