Great tips on how to make life easy by improving your brain
What I really liked about this book is how it explains in easy to understand terms exactly how the human brain works. And it even takes it a step further by telling you how you can use the latest scientific brain research to improve your daily life.I especially enjoyed the anti-stress exercises. They are easy to do and work wonderfully. I used to have problems with stress, and it was affecting my health and work performance. My brain would just freeze up with fear from time to time. After doing a couple of stress releasing exercises I realized the tension was gone. Not all of it, but it was like lifting a burden off of my soul.Considering they work so fast (only done the exercises once and it took me just a couple of minutes) I guess daily practice will help me deal with stress in a more efficient way. I already feel more confident and the future is bright.Can’t wait to finish reading this book so I can choose the BOPs I’ll use on a daily basis. Definitely a book I will recommend to all my friends and loved ones.

Food for the Mind
Excellent read and gives much food for thought. We are really just discovering the endless possibilities of what the brain is truly capable of.

Friendship and family!
I'm especially fond of this chapter/section - I've always believed emotions are a huge part of our makeup. I absolutely loved this chapter, and with pretty much every sentence my jaw dropped with a ahaha moment. What I'm really hoping to learn is a practice to keep my emotions in check when dealing with my relationships. Part of me hated to admit it, but its truth in how our emotional state directs and shapes our social interactions. I'm getting so much out of this book, and would highly recommend others read the book. Its definitely worth it!

Mind Your Head: Revolutionary Brain Training Handbook is well-rounded, fun, & quite informative for a scientifically based book
This book has come along at the perfect time in my life. The chapter on Habits, about switching systems, was enlightening. Change can be easy or challenging, I wish the authors could come over and Mind My Head for me. :)

relaxation and re-organizing...what a relief!
What appeals to me about Mind your Head is the fact that it offers me REAL RESULTS. I've read a number of books about making positive mental changes that theorise potential benefits but that don't provide the practice... with Mind your Head, you are given easy and effective techniques and guidance about how to achieve both immediate and ongoing transformative effects. Grounded in brainy (but simplified) science, this doesn't feel like the stuff of sci-fi or self-help - Mind your Head explains exactly how the techniques work on a cellular level.Knowing that I have the ability to grant myself power of my own brain has brought me a huge sense of relief. Over the past few years I have actually worried that my brain is regressing! I feel I don't have the concentration levels, stamina, or even interest to focus my brain on tasks that I would have whizzed through earlier in life (I'm only 28!) I aim to use Mind your Head BOPS in a way that helps me to get **** done, quicker, and without the stress or procrastination. I'm also going to concentrate on techniques that promote health and physical well-being. I actually enjoy living a healthy lifestyle (rather than it feeling like a chore)but I never seem to sustain it. Unhealthy choices are so much more readily available. But I'm determined to change my daily routine in a more permanent way.Last night I eased my over stimulated, youtube and trash telly brain with the 'releasing overwhelm' brain training audio...totally zenned out! Highly recommended.

Perfect Time for a Simple Way to Guide Your Head
Mind Your Head came into my life when I began working 7 days a week and my life was full of modern day 'stresses'. Finding it difficult to change my lifestyle and suffering with IBS (flared by stress), I needed to change my 'mind-style'. Having previously tried various techniques and de-stressing methods, I never really felt in 'control' of my anxieties and stress.After reading Mind Your Head and instilling the daily BOPs into my life, I have found myself much more able to cope with my balancing my lifestyle and stress.I am so glad and thankful for discovering this gem of a book! It is not your usual 'self-help/healing' books, this book actually works! Even my family have commented on how positive and calm I have been since reading the book.I am so pleased with the results that I have been recommending this to my colleagues, friends and family alike!

Its a 5 when im not even finished!
This is a clever and well thought out book that really suits the head case lifestyle that is today. It has quirky ways to engage your thought process with NLP and and CBT techniques and allows for you to grab hold of situations as you further your knowledge and understanding of how your brain works. Even now (only 40% through) I have begun mindfulness on a more automatic level and am learning to push disruptive and irrelevant thoughts away so I can concentrate on the task at hand and enjoy the task that I am doing more. Its also allowing a more forgiving sense of self and encourages you to accept and grow - from a scientific level and one of a more spiritual level. Carpe Diem should be in this books description somewhere.

After having watched TED lectures on how the mind can be trained this seemed like an excellent book to start with. However, after the introduction it turns out to be more of a really long sales pitch for the products available online. They describe how it works and gives examples and perhaps if they had been honest from the beginning as to this being a sales pitch I would have bought the end product. But by the time I got to that part of the book I just felt cheated. This is not to say that their product is not excellent and that it can't improve your life. I didn't get that far and if it can help someone in any way that is wonderful.
