I have to say I was very impressed the moment this was delivered...so they come in 2 individual boxes that are then put into a bigger box, they are sandwiched in between sturdy foam. They arrived sharp and intact and work great! What really got me was the thank you note on a card that was actually written out by someone and didn't just come from a stack of printed ones...which would have been fine, but it's those little personal touches that really go above and beyond. Bonus adorable mustache sticker as well. This was my first time ordering from Mr. Pen and it will definitely not be my last. I will definitely be recommending them to any & everybody.

Tailor's chalk set. 8 pcs. 4 colors, pink, blue, yellow, and white (2 of each color). Also, 2 chalk holders. The chalks were packaged well. They were placed in the center of a 1/2" piece of foam. None were broken. I tested only one piece of chalk on fabric made of 97% polyester & 3 % spandex, which is very silky. It marked it well and I used my finger to remove chalk residue. Worked fine. The chalk holders worked well but they are not necessary to have because chalk is a nice size. The boxes that the chalk and holders came in were also placed into another box. Chalk has sharp edges and easy to use. It is like any chalk, with it having sharp edges little chips will break off if pressed too hard.

Like others, I was impressed by the care that went into the packaging to ensure that the pieces were protected during shipping.I will use these on fabric but wanted to test them for marking leather as well. The chalk left a sharp, clear, and clean line and washed away easily with water and a simple swipe of my fingers (I have included photos of the lines of each color drawn and again after washing it away). Unlike other products I’ve used, the chalk did not dull or crumble at all after marking - I feel as though I can make dozens of markings before I would even be able to tell the chalk looks as though it had been used at all. Confidential it will stand the test of time so long as I take care of it.Very happy with my purchase and will order again if I ever make my way through all this chalk!

These work well as tailors chalk. They glide easily over fabric and always leave a colored line without skipping. The ONLY flaw these have is that they break easily and you might find a broken one when you get it. That's not a big deal because you can still use them and actually might be useful if you need a precise line as a shard can be more precise than the whole thing as a whole.The chalk also washes off decently well so if you accidentally draw on the the wrong part of the fabric, or just want to add extra marks as guidelines, they will come off.I think the red and blue are the best colors, the yellow is a bit light (which I can see the use for, but with my eyesight I need a bright line)I wish they had more chalk colors tho like white or green purple perhaps? or orange >:)

Am so impressed with this company who went Above and Beyond in their shipping to ensure no breakage.Was confused when I got the package because it was very long & thin, and I thought.......I didn't order any chopstix did I? But the 8 pieces of chalk were shipped with 4 to a box, separated from one another in each box in styrofoam! Each triangular chalk had a tiny slit above them to remove them safely. Wow, somebody must be an Engineer in that complany.....just awesome thought & care went into this. It's also a nice way to store the unused ones until needed. I had been sewing so I tried all 4 colors out on my fabric and the lines were Very Visible, laid down color very easily with light pressure and will last me a very long time! It's great because it won't dry out like marking pens, or leave blobs of color. Even if it breaks.....that just gives you more edges to be able to use. Fantastic product made and shipped with Heart!

Great for marking things since it's chocolate rubs off easily so you don't got to have your temporary markings stay on forever.

I have used various methods to mark material while sewing. The methods needed pressure to mark the fabric--and did not always do so cleanly. Since I have often seen tailor's chalk, but could not find it in a store, I decided to try these. They worked beautifully! I have been able to make thin lines with little pressure. I wish I had a case for them, but they all arrived unbroken, so I will continue to keep them stored in the box. I am happy with my purchase.

It does what it is supposed to do, and the price was very good so as long as you know there will be some crumbling, it is fine. I seem to prefer something between the chalk block and a pencil, but this is OK for basic use.
