Horticulture as Therapy

Great book to accompany the course I took at the New York Botanical Gardens, Intro to Horiticultural Therapy.

Excellent source of information

This book is a great educational tool for those persons interested in Horticulture and as a student or faculty would recommend it highly for review.

A bit old, but a very good introduction to horticultural therapy.

This is a valuable and comprehensive introduction to the use of gardening and other related activities to promote health and well-being, among a range of different clients, including children and young people, older people and those experiencing physical disabilities. While the introductory chapters provide a valuable and succinct overview of the theories that underpin this growing profession, some of the later chapters on specific client groups are less satisfying and would benefit from updating at some point in the near future.

I would strongly recommend this title.Rated. An in depth read for enquiring mindsI give it the highest accolade.

This book covers all bases from the early beginnings to the hows whys and wheres. It will be a book I will continue to return to.
