(the item sold was clearly the genuine article) This worked perfectly with Android (two different OBD apps) and from Windows, both with Classic Bluetooth (not BLE). I also established a direct serial over BT connection at 115200 baud from both Windows and Android and was able to query using standard ELM327 v2.3 commands. I was not able to connect to the BLE from Android, however.

Tried other cheaper ones with poor results, This works perfectly Used the BMW app for it, which wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for.

Good quality, easy to use if you get the right app( car scanner in my case), decent price, connects easily with Car scanner app through Bluetooth.

I spent a while trying to get this to work correctly on an F series BMW - torque app worked just about, Bimmer Tool could not see the ecu though and it was my app to use. Eventually i found it had very aold firmware on the device, so download the lastest version from vgate's site v 4.1.17 and now it works correctly. This must have been really old stock as the firmware in the device was over 5 yrs old. I would image most people would just return it.

I use this with Bimmercode on my Z Fold 4 to program my 330d F30. Works flawlessly and has helped me to unlock a lot of things on my car. Very happy.

Do not buy this product! It seemed to work but failed after only 5 weeks. That's when I found out the returns policy is 30 days even if it's faulty. Amazon says you must speak to the manufacturer in China for support. This is not legal under UK law.
