I was quite satisfied with this ladle, cleaning was more or less a breeze thanks to the silicone. There was no off putting smells given off by the silicone, nor was there any residue that it gave off. I have used this ladle for about a year now. Always hand washed [we don't use our dishwasher], and air dried. I tend to use this more gently than our wooden or metal ladles.Just today I was scooping out cold kimchi to make kimchi chigae [like a stew], when the stainless steel split. See pictures. I actually expected the silicone to give before the stainless steel handle.For the most part I am/was happy with this ladle, it had a hook at the top [some other brands don't and its a convenience point for me], the silicone has lasted a year of gentle use. Some of the negatives would be that it didn't last a whole year [the stainless steel split], the metal part gets hot really quick when using it for soups/stews etc.I didn't weigh this into a positive or negative, just an afterthought, but it would be nice if they had more colors to choose from.

My first Chef Frog items, including this ladle, lasted about 2 years. Hand washed every time. The metal stressed and finally cracked near the head. Same thing happened to the others.Still though, I'm replacing my broken ladle with the same item. I like the Chef Frog tools enough to put up with the relatively disposable nature of them.

Bought this to replace an old plastic ladle (yuck, right?). Not sure why I waited so long - probably because I wasn't using it so much. But I've been making a lot of soups lately and rather than using the plastic ladle, I've been using a stainless steel ladle but not one designed for soup.This ladle is awesome. I'm sure it would have no problems going in my dishwasher, but I just hand wash it so that I have it ready for my next helping of soup. The handle stays cool although it might get hot if the ladle is left in a pot leaning against the rim of the pot, but I never leave it in the pot so I haven't experienced any issues with that. The handle is rigid yet very comfortable to hold. The green silicone bowl of the ladle is deep enough to serve up a hearty after-surf portion of soup with just a few spoonfuls. It is rigid enough to hold the weight of the big pieces of meat I like to put into my soups.Highly recommend.

When the ladle is in my dishwasher, its hollow handle fills with liquid, and that liquid slowly seeps out onto my hand while ladling.

This is a nicely made ladle and works well. Cleans up easily.

My wife has been looking for a silicone ladle for quite some time for use on our more sensitive cooking pots and I decided to give this one a shot, so far she's loving it.

Very nice ladle. Easy oon the pans, easy on the eyes, and it feels very good in the hands. I would recomment.

Looks cute and very practical

This is a follow-up review and actually relates to the set of Chef Frog tongs I purchased, but I can't seem to do a review for just those items, which were part of a larger order. More importantly, I'd like to highlight the great customer service I experienced with this seller.I recently found some cracks in the silicone on the edge of the tongs and wrote to the company, Chef Frog. Within a few hours I had a response, a thank you for the feedback and an apology for the performance, and a set of new tongs in the mail. In addition, they said they would go back to the manufacturer to see what improvements could be made. In short, it was an example of great customer service. I will definitely continue to buy and recommend Chef Frog products because I have confidence that they will stand behind what they sell.6 months of using the Chef Frog products (we bought a complete set of their cooking utensils) and we couldn't be more pleased. Love the balance and light weight, and the fact that the handles stay cool. Highly recommend their products and company.

Really nicely made! Shipping was quick as well. I wanted ladles that wouldn't scratch pans, bought 2 of them. Excellent buy!

It has long handle and can hold a lot of soup. Love it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it is bigger than I expected.
