I used to think that mudguards on bikes were uncool, dorky, far too heavy and would slow me down.Most years I stop cycling to and from the shops at around the time of year it starts to permanently rain, get cold, the canal turns into one long 3 mile stretch of muddy puddle. I would arrive at the shop soaking wet, covered in filth and mud and scare many innocent shoppers. Not a great advert for leaving the car at home for such journeys.On arrival back at home the long process of scraping off the mud, wringing the water out of all my clothes and attempting to dry my shoes was quite time consuming and irritating.These mudguards have changed my life.They took around half an hour to fit, they come with an absolute tonne of bolts, plastic things and general inexplicable stuff to help with fitting but it wasn't too complicated to work out what worked best for me. Zip ties, the rear metal pole things and a bolt at the front. I would imagine you could fit these to more or less anything.They look very neat and, dare I say it, stylish.After a month of daily cycles up and down the canal in all kinds of horrific rain, storms and just general mud hell they have transformed my cycling life. I am not soaking wet at the end of every ride, most of the soaking through of clothes, even in heavy rain it seems comes from spray off the tyres which these mudguards totally eliminate.They are quite sturdy, some helpful but misguided person recently cut down every hawthorn and blackthorn bush along the tow path and scattered the branches, and thorns, all over the path. There frequently get sucked up by wheels, or just stuck in my tyres by the massive thorns, and then batter into the mudguards with every revolution of the wheel. It makes an irritating noise but eventually the branch is smashed into small enough pieces by the mudguard and the wheel that it can fall away.Highly recommended.

My bike has 27.5" x 2.10" wheels and disc brakes. The rear mudguard fitted straight on using cable ties at the top and the stays as supplied . The front forks were cable tied at the top and had no fixing point for the stays plus my forks are 40 mm (diameter) so I had to cut down the stays with a hacksaw and buy 40mm clamps through amazon. The instructions were a bit short on detail and by trial an error I had to adjust the length of the stays several times to stop the mudguard which is quite springy from 'slapping' the rear wheel noisily and rubbing on the front tyre when the suspension flexed - please leave yourself a bit of extra length on the stays for adjustment to keep the mudguard a bit further away from the tyre and measure your front forks. The kit came with lots and lots of fixings but no clamps for 40mm forks. The good news is the back of my shirt no longer gets spotted with mud and I think these mudguards are really good quality but a bit expensive for what you get.

I found that the product was missing attachments. No means to attach the mudgaurd arms to the front forks

A bit more than I wanted to pay but they do the job perfectly.

29 inch 2.25 tires did not happen.

The product meets my expectations

These fit well on my 29' x 2.2 tyres but unfortunately I was let down by the stay mounts for the front suspension not being included.I have had to zip-tie the front stays to my suspension while I wait for the mounts to arrive, an extra 7 pounds for something that should really be included.
