Update: Haven't even had it for two months and now some of the keys don't work properly. I press the question mark key combination and I get a totally different symbol. Same thing happens for the underscore. I really liked the product and I would rather just replace it rather than refund it.I LOVE this so far! Connects easily and works flawlessly as both a smart cover and keyboard. Makes working on my iPad MUCH easier and faster esp when using my spreadsheets! Hope it lasts a long long time as I will never need another case if so.

I'd love to give more stars to this item, but unfortunately aesthetic does not cut it off. Although the concept of this case/keyboard is good, the execution and application are TERRIBLE. I bought this item about a month and a half ago, and it has already broken. To specify, the main part that makes this entire concept interesting to begin with, broke. That is, that circular thing that allows you to rotate the iPad screen, and essentially, holds the entire thing together; you are then left with just a case on the back of your iPad, that cannot be attached to the keyboard or rotated anymore. I highly recommend anyone interested in getting a case/keyboard for their iPad to look elsewhere.

update: its been a few months and the keys are getting worse. pretty disappointed i spent my money on something that doesn't type right. my last one was much better.this is the second case like this i've had. my first one was pink but is no longer offered on here anymore. After only using it for a week or two some of the buttons will repeat while i'm typing. mainly the space button and delete button will register more times than i pressed. but over and over. i go back to fix my typing mistake just for it to be worse or delete more letters than intended even though i only pressed it once. also disappointed that the old case was detachable but this one is not. overall alright but i wish the buttons wouldn't register more than they should.

This is an amazing, excellent keyboard case. It provides superior protection for the iPad, the keyboard action is crisp and definite, the backlit keys are an unbeatable asset on airplanes and trains at night, the battery never quits, and the clever swivel hinge offers endless possibility for convenient utilization. Some may find it just a touch heavy, but for all the benefits that it provides, it's more than worth the weight and the price. A great product; a great deal!

The keyboard stops working after 3 months.I bought two of these thinking the first one might have gotten wet and that was the reason it stopped working. The second one also stopped working.

Purchased January 15th this year to replace a leather keyboard case i had ( whcih worked perfectly) ... but because I don't consider myself to be tech savvy, I took my time it and now i can't return it. I put it on my iPad easily enough...turned it on after charging...it lights up but shuts off 5 seconds later, I can never tell if it's off or on because it will NOT connect to the bluetooth (keeps telling me to make sure the device is close by - WTH!, it's holding the device) and so the keyborad has NEVER WORKED ...I have tried and tried several times in the past 2 months but no bueno, so I guess I'll be going back to my original leather keyboard case...GLAD I KEPT MY ORIGINAL CASE

Bought this for work for which I rely heavily on my keyboard and do a fair amount of typing. The case is sturdy and I like the swivel function. With that said the keys are failing miserably. It often double/triple spaces, adds additional punctuation marks and will often erase a whole word instead of 1 character. Then the lag started in and it will sporadically stop working altogether until you hard boot the keyboard. Needless to say I have been VERY frustrated at work and am now looking for a replacement elsewhere.

For some reason, I got it in my head that the top was removable from the bottom. It is not. As a result, you cannot take pictures with the front-facing camera easily if at all. Very unfortunate. The keyboard battery life is great. The iPad will not stay in portrait position.
