Comfort Grip Purple Looming Pick
J**S
Great quality, but has a fundamental flaw
This loom pick is super sturdy and well made. I really like the shape of the hook itself and how it functions. However, there is one huge problem for me. I do not like the cube like shape of the handle. When I knit and purl, I roll the pick between my fingers, in order to angle the pick to grab the yarn and pull it over. The square shape stops the flow of the rotation and forces me to bend my wrist instead. It is a little easier to use with stiches like the e-wrap or figure eight, but still not ideal. I still prefer my big orange pick by Knitting Board, which is half the price and more comfortable to use. CinDwood should consider making the handle ergonomic with more of a cylinder shape, so that it can actually be ergonomic and comfortable. If you do not rotate the pick between your fingers, this might be just the pick for you. I would test out your style of knitting before you buy this.

Surprisingly comfortable
I bought this because the reviews looked good and I was looking for something sturdier. I am pretty rough on my loom picks.Going by the reviews and the price, this one promised to be more durable. I was a little hesitant about the squared off shape, but it is surprisingly comfortable in hand, even after a long session. It has stood up well and still is tight and secure. Well worth the extra cost.

Yes. Order this!
Love it! The square shape took just a little to get used to, but the hook has proven to be much sturdier than another certain name brand. I am using this with a project on an afghan loom that utilizes a fairly tight flat stitch. I also have arthritis so the hooks included with most looms are uncomfortable. The other 'comfort' hook I tried bent at the base after 5 stitches. I've put a good 4.5-5 hours into this one with no sign of give in the hook bend or at the base. I've gotten used to.the square handle and am thinking it might be better than the round. Will definitely be ordering more.

looks to be very sturdy but not very ergonomically in design
I've only had it a couple of days but so far it seems to be more sturdy than the pair that I previously had purchased.. Of those two. one broke within 2 hrs and the other lasted about 2 weeks.. This one seems very sturdy but its also not as easy to rotate in your hand when you are manipulating the loops like the bottom one under the lower loop and over the top. It's hard to describe but just know it takes some getting used to because of the "squareness" of the handle..I'll adjust as long as this one holds up.

Comfy
I have a bunch of different style hooks but this one seems to not cause hand pain.I like how flat it is when resting in your hand unlike the round handled hooks. This one doesn't seem to put as much pressure on my palm.I haven't had it long enough to say just how durable it is right now.But I would say it's worth the money.

Well made
I have broken about 6 other hooks and so far this one hasn’t even bent yet, very comfortable in my hand and I haven’t had any cramps , which is great, my hands are very weak since having carpal tunnel surgery on both

Sturdy for even think yarns.
Easy to grip, sturdy enough to use with multiple bulky yarn on a circular peg loom. I make hand puppets for grandchildren and the love them!I have been making puppets for 3 months now.

Sturdy with a Warm and Comfortable Grip.
Very comfortable to use. I’ve been sitting here using it for a couple of hours and it feels fine.I wish it came in different colors. The purple is so dark it’s almost brown. It’s not, but almost.Sturdy, they have nice long point, totally worth the price.I have to get a couple more.
