No, but the rubber feet holds it in place pretty good, it does have a tendency to tip over when I put my soldering iron in the holder thou2

Is the body plastic and will melt from the heat?

It appears to be plastic. I haven't had any issues with heat deformation, but I am only soldering with 40 watts. So far so good. The delivery was pretty fast.
